Yet the survey also revealed that many Americans harbor lingering animosity toward Muslims. Twenty-eight percent of voters do not believe Muslims should be eligible to sit on the U.S. Supreme Court. Nearly one third of the country thinks adherents of Islam should be barred from running for President — slightly higher than the 24% who mistakenly believe that the current occupant of the Oval Office is himself a Muslim.

because its govt. property and such would be a violation of church/state seperation.

hence, I oppose NY Governor Patterson wanting to swap the current property for state property further away from GZ. same state/church seperation issue.

IIRC, the pentagon doesn't have a mosque but a non denominatial church that anyone can use

I am just saying that there have enough outbreaks of Anti Muslim feelings in Europe..France in particular....that Europeans should not act morally superior to Americans about it.
