Results of the Mavi Marmara Attack

But only one thread about whether the flotilla killed the blockade. For example, here is an article about some Iranian diplomats planning to visit Gaza through the Egypt crossing. (The article states the Iranians still blame Egypt, along with Israel, for refusing to allow their own aid convoy to reach Gaza.)
Iran has higher stunting rates than Gaza, shouldn't they keep the aid at home and distribute it there?

Perhaps they prefer their own citizens to be stunted and the Gazans to be active.

Perhaps the Gazans could consider rebuilding the greenhouses they previously destroyed, the ones donated to them by philanthropic Jews that provided fresh produce and numerous Palestinian jobs but I suppose having gainfully employed and self sufficient Palestinians just doesn't serve the same propaganda purpose of needy ones.

have you guys formed a club where you recirculate all these old chestnuts?

I encourage you to use the excellent search facilities provided by Jref to review the greenhouses issue.

Marksman will be along shortly to smack your behind for wandering off topic.....

Actually, how the Gazans should react to the fact that the flotilla has not ended the embargo is kinda on-topic. Welcome back, Fool. Have you had a chance to reconsider your prior position that "egypt had simply opened the gates after the attack on the ships" such that it would not "prevent[] the passage of any amount of weapons that Hamas wants from passing over the gaza Egyptian border".

umm, I reported what the egyptians said....that they had opened the gates.

If the greenhouses are back on topic am I allowed to correct the factual errors in the post? see thats what happens....there is a constant bombardment of recycled propaganda. apparently challenging it is off topic according to the self appointed topic police?

shall we discuss how the borders were suddenly closed when the strawberry crop was being transported, causing it to rot in the trucks? but as that is not derrogatory towards palestinians its probably off topic.

You did more than that. In the second post of yours to which I linked, you cited the Egyptian's opening the gates to suggest that weapons could be transported into Gaza despite Israel's continuation of their embargo.

Have you changed your position on that?

If the greenhouses are back on topic
It was never of-topic. Your passive aggressive complaining that I called you out on your attempts to derail, however, are.

When have I been derogatory to the Palestinians? I mean, I've been derogatory to your method of discussion, being as it consists mostly of personal attacks, passive aggressive whining when you are offended, and attempts to derail, but not to the Palestinians.

Is anybody at all arguing this absolutist stance besides you? No.

Pretty weak defense. Not the first time you've used it either....

What was absolutist about saying that you have not proven that all people on the MM used the word "Auschwitz". The absolutism seems to be from your side. The people shot were all Islamists, for example.

Please re-read what you have just said. Its really a facepalm moment.

I've seen this time and time again that you think that somehow using the 'every' and 'all' defense actually has any basis in this and other debates.

So again, nobody is making the absolutist claim, but somehow you think its relevant to throw it into the mix....

And who provided the explosions that closed the borders?

Also, we're talking about greenhouses. One of the advantages of greenhouses is you can have a continuous harvest. That's the reason I can get fresh local-grown tomatoes in the dead of winter. So what stopped them from exporting strawberries when the crossing was opened again? Oh yeah, the greenhouses had been destroyed.

But the defense doesn't work the other way around. If someone claims an IDF soldier behaves badly, he won't ever say that's just one soldier. No that's evidence of a systemic culture of abuse or something.

keep chanting "the greenhouses were destroyed"...it helps. The fact is that some were destroyed some were damaged during the mad period of the withdrawal if Israeli forces to the borders....the vast majority of the greenhouses had their ability to provide a crop was removed by the fact that they could not be transported through Israeli checkpoints....but of course its always some arabs fault.

ok, going to ignore further attempts to breath life into the old strawberry story.

if the borders are open I fail to see how anything could be restricted......but if the Egyptians have not opened the borders as they said they would it may very well be different.

Whats this got to do with the OP? its about time you got back on topic don't you think?Instead of whining about me...

So your claim is these greenhouses are still intact, ready to produce crops if only Israel would allow those crops to market?

Prove it.
