What Happens After I Die?

Absolutely NOT! You will either experience the most joy you ever felt as one of the redeemed and go on to heaven with Jesus for ever, or you will feel remorse and angwish in hell forever for denying his free gift of salvation. The good news is you still have time to accept Christ and live forever.

(Not the best audio, but it will have to do...)

Hell is very real people, and I don't wish that on anyone.

Right...

And if you do not believe the Bible, what can you believe?

I don't believe in anything. I accept that which is testable, demonstrable, and repeatable. Anything less is not worth my consideration.

I choose to trust God and accept his word is true.

Then you are a mindless follower. Humanity needs far less of those.

The kama sutra? Harry Potter?
Kathy can you explain, without referencing the bible, why you believe the bible rather than any of the other religious texts which have been written?
How do you know what is god's word in order to believe it?
I mean aside from believing the bible is god's word because the bible says so?
Why would you believe the bible rather than anything I might say?
How do you know the bible is right and I am wrong?

I really have a hard time comprehending this and would appreciate an explanation.

Evidence, Please? (And the word is spelled "anguish".)

Not even a single Jewish Democrat of mixed race with three adopted babies (Muslim, Catholic and Atheist, respectively)?

The Surgeon General's warning message on every carton of cigarettes.
I choose to trust God...
Ahh ... but does He trust you? Think about it. Why would He have to watch you 24/7 if He trusted you? Did He really say that He trusted you? Well? Did He?
... and accept his word is true.
As reported by whom?

You can also create your own meaning and purpose. Since we're (apparently) the closest things to gods which exist, I almost feel it's our duty to.
On one hand, it seems that a meaning we create ourselves seems less "real", but if you think about it, the opposite is true, and taking the meaningless and creating meaning and purpose is what humans do. We take meaningless trees and rocks and transform them into homes. We take pointless boulders and transform them into art. We don't need imaginary skypeople to tell us how to do that, so why do we need imaginary skypeople to tell us what the meanings and purposes behind our finite lives are?
Interesting idea .... hmm ...
Just a head's up since you're new...these conversations do not go well. She's going to tell you to ask jesus into your heart and seek him and yada yada yada and then you'll see the truth and she won't have to show him to you because he'll show himself to you.
Thanx for the heads up :) I shall do my best, and forget the rest LOL :)

Yeah, good members have gotten banned or nearly gotten banned as a result of their frustrations with KK. So...just a head's up. There are Christians here with whom dialogue is not pointless, but KK is not one of them. You'll see what I mean.

law breakers hate cops
sinners hate belief in the afterlife.
That is a false analogy. You are comparing a thing (cops) to a belief (in the afterlife).

You can do this:

law breakers hate cops
sinners hate the afterlife

OR you can do this:

law breakers hate belief in cops
sinners hate belief in the afterlife

Which would be better presented as:

law breakers don’t believe in cops
sinners don’t believe in the afterlife

Which, of course, is not true. Law breakers do believe in cops. The belief in cops has nothing to do with whether or not a person is or is not a law breaker.

That's a much closer analogy anyway (though you can restart the computer any time later).

I think the website is supposed to be mildly amusing rather than a realistic representation...

I did worry that if you waited for 30 seconds a grinning Jeebus picture would pop up and give you a big thumbs up!

Evidence, Please?

If you're referring to the earlier "Not even black" comment, the poster was referring to what the dead person senses. "Not even black" means that the dead person perceives nothing -- not even the "blackness" of nothing.

It's a joke.

Seriously though, If you think we go through all this Joy & Pain with everything else in between and just cease to exist, that's pretty boring isn't it? Not much reason to why you were born, to death, to the air we breathe, to the reason why there is so much space out there, everything..

Kinda like 'Dam if i only get xx/x amount of years then nothing why bother, in the end nothing really matters'.

A hockey game only lasts 60 minutes, and then it's over. So there's no reason to play well, right?

Faith in the one true God comes from reading the scriptures so you need to try it yourself. No other book has stood the test of time and all the hundreds of prophecies of Jesus were absolutely fullfilled, except of course for his return to earth which is getting closer each day.

Jesus is no myth my friend, that's why we know without a doubt it's God's word and the spirit brings truth into our hearts and changes our lives. God really did send his son to earth to redeem what was lost, it's the absolute truth.

How did you decide which scriptures were true?
You do understand, don't you, that there are numerous religious writings claiming to be true, and it is not possible that they all are?
God sent his son to earth? How do you know that is true?
I say it is not true. I say jesus is a myth.
Why do you not believe me?
Remember that asserting something again and again does not make it true.

How did you decide which scriptures were true?

Oh, that's easy.
Whatever god is currently "en vogue" in your geographical region, that's the right one, and the other ones are false.

I say it is not true. I say jesus is a myth.
Why do you not believe me?

You're not serious. You don't offer eternal salvation/damnation.

I've read the bible. Thoroughly. It's no good.

What happens to Hindus after they die Kathy? Do they all go to hell for not accepting Christ?

Funny, but for almost 2,000 years people that been saying he is comeing back soon, soon he will be back, it is almost time.......

Now the hundreds of prophecies, of please, where did you dig up that number.

"No other book", are you talking about the bible, it is full of misunderstanding about the world in which you live. Show me where it got it right about the universe.

I will say, some people do eat it up with the dumb-ass. They are prime for it and that is a same, because if one is so-called saved, why does one have to be saved again and again and again. And don't gave me that sinning BS, I think you love being saved. Look at me I'm bad and I'm being saved.

Paul

:) :) :)
