Heretic Pharaoh
That'll cause a bustle in your hedgerow.
Proof?
I was always taught that it was an oblate spheroid. I'm assuming you've got evidence for that assertion?
Im not to sure how much HAARP would cost to build and keep running, but im guessing quite alot; does anyone have a figure here for it? and just to keep it running to communicate between vessels and aircraft's? That doesn't make ecomical sense to me with what we already have on hand to communicate with.

I too would be curious to know a short answer to what the short answer to "What is the purpose of HAARP?" GOOGLE turned up little more than WOO and or stuff that required a PHD to decipher.
Crap...
Space Nazis + HAARP
A B-movie so bad that may be outstanding!
There will be several pool scenes at the movie! "Lesbian Nazi Hunters" or "Lesbian Swastikas from Outer Space" or "The Ride of the Lesbian Valkyrs" or "Earth Vs. the Lesbian Nazis from Outer Space" will need a pool. A boy, on the other hand... It will be the ultimate movie. HAARP operators will be only females, there will be hot pool chicks and handsome salad delivery girl (super fit women must go easy on fat & calories). The good girl vs. bad girl fight scenes will be awesome!
Actors to play "Hunky Pool Boy" or "Handsome Pizza Delivery Guy" may be needed on "Earth Vs. the Gay Rodeo Blimps from Beyond the Borders of What We Call Nature", a Rramjet production, or perhaps at Elton John's "Jesus Comes Again at Brokeback Mountain".
Correctomundo. An oblate spheroid, or 'flattened at the poles' is exactly what it is.
You have got to be kidding.
Isn't WikiAnswers like Wikipedia? I knew Earth wasn't round like a basketball, more like a "spheroid", and as asked, dug up a link. As for why Earth isn't round, well, I take it water has nothing to do with it. (Wipes egg off face.)
Egg shape
The shape of a chicken egg is approximately that of half each a prolate and roughly spherical (potentially even minorly oblate) ellipsoid joined at the equator, sharing a principal axis of rotational symmetry.[4] Although the term egg-shaped usually implies a lack of reflection symmetry across the equatorial plane, it may also refer to true prolate ellipsoids. It can also be used to describe the 2D figure that, revolved around its major axis, produces the 3D surface. See also oval.
An oblate spheroid is a rotationally symmetric ellipsoid having a polar axis shorter than the diameter of the equatorial circle whose plane bisects it.[1] Oblate spheroids stand in contrast to prolate spheroids.
....
The oblate spheroid is the approximate shape of many planets and celestial bodies, including Saturn and Altair, and – to a lesser extent – the Earth (with a = 6378.137 km and b ≈ 6356.752 km, providing an aspect ratio of 0.99664717 and inverse flattening of 298.2572). It is therefore the most-used geometric figure for defining reference ellipsoids, upon which cartographic and geodetic systems are based.
2. The Earth is not a prolate ellipsoid. An egg is.I really don't know how to simplify it further other than by reiterating that the Earth is not egg-shaped.
3. The Earth is an oblate speroid. An egg isn't.
