Germany had the atomic bomb first

This is the time of the Internet... I just skimmed through it, and I stand by what I said.

The Nova program is only suggestive about it for artistic reasons, missed that?

If it's run anything like the 'Discovery' and 'History' channels here in the States, then I would not put much credibility in their brand of speculative reporting. I mean, why stick to dull, drab facts when you can boost the ratings by raising questions about something that has no relevancy to the present-day world?

May as well produce a report on the alleged affair between King Henry and Joan d'Arc!

Probably not. I don't think your typical young girl could distinguish between a large conventional explosion and a nuke.

You do not need a nuke to create a mushroom cloud.

I'm sorry but "realpaladin" and "Fnord" are right this isn't even good circumstantial evidence. An atomic test in Europe would have more than two witnesses period! A child's recollection is useless when it comes to evaluating an atomic blast. Even a dud with a kiloton yield would be the loudest single explosion heard during the war in Europe. Everyone in the area would have remembered it and saw the mushroom cloud when they ran out to see what it was.

Sorry but I'm not going to waste my time watching this program because you haven't presented ANY credible evidence. This program presents less evidence of a German A-bomb test than a ghost hunting program.

According to the program, Hitler said to his troops in reference to the new weapon, "May God forgive me for the last five minutes of the war."
 
Who did he say this to? Where is this recorded? Come on, give us something to work with here. Right now you might as well be citing episodes of Star Trek.

"Then Melakon gave me the drug....*URK*"

Now that's documented! :D

ETA: Oops. Sorry. After looking it up, I see his last words were something along the lines of "Melakon is a traitor for all he stands for. And I promise the Zeonists retribution..." then Melakon shoots him dead.

Hey, this is just as truthful as Hitler having an atomic bomb. Only Star Trek did it better... :D

I don't care if Hitler said it in a newspaper of record it doesn't make it true. Hitler said Germans were the "master race" that didn't pan out either. It is absolutely ludicrous to think Hitler would have wasted two A-bombs on tests when the Germans knew the Russians were knocking at the door.
