We shall see indeed. And exactly what will you folk's reaction be if no lawyer can prove any of the evidence is manufactured? Will you say, "well, you know, these guys might be guilty after all"? No. You'll continue to whine and moan on relatively obscure internet forums about inside job and faked evidence and corrupt lawyers.

It's because NO amount of evidence could ever convince you of something you were predisposed to believe in from the get-go.

Feelings here are - naturally - running high. But, a serious question ....
KSM will go on trial in NY. Reports on TV tonight suggest he will not only plead guilty but has actively requested the death sentence if found guilty. I can't find a quick reference to that on the 'net, but never mind.

What is his status, and that of the case against him, under US law given that he was tortured at Guantanamo? Would all evidence bar confession 'evidence' at Guantanamo still be admissible? Would those responsible for the torture automatically become open to prosecution themselves by virtue of KSM being trial on US soil?

Basically what I'm asking is this - suppose this were a routine (forgive me) 1-on-1 homicide case with overwhelming prima facie evidence against the accused but that the accused had been tortured while in custody, how might this affect the progress of the case, in purely legal terms?

Alas, there is intelligent life here on JREF..I'll research it and find out what his legal remedies are under these circumstances..I have a feeling from past experience, that the torture thing will not be good for the prosecution..The idiotic, illegal, and saddistic actions ordered by Cheney, Rumsfeld and the rest of these chickenhawk stooges could very well get this guy a walk..We'll see..Thank You

Yosri Fouda of Al-Jazera is has never told any one to attack Iraq as for as I know, he also has nothing to do with the Gulf of Tonkin as far as I know, and lastly he was never an elected leader of any thing in the USA.

Bush also says he's been to France. I've never been there, but I do believe there is a place called France and that he's been there. I believe lots of things GWB has said.

This might be hard for you to understand, but it has to do with evidence. Just because a bad person says something doesn't mean it's not true. Got it? If there are other reasons to believe something and these are good reasons, then it might be true. Got it?
