Many people chose to leave the church and Christianity. The number of believers is falling at record rates.

Kathy, these people knew and believed in him as much if not more than you do? You know exactly why they leave. Jesus is neither alive or real. If he was it would be impossible to turn your back on him once you knew him.

I don't need to believe in gravity to see evidence of it.
I don't need to believe in evolution to see evidence of it.
I don't need to believe in F=ma to see evidence of it.
I don't need to beleive in germ theory to see evidence of it.
I don't need to beleive in genetics to see evidence of it.
I don't need to believe in nuclear decay to see evidence of it.
I don't need to beleive in the 2nd law of thermodynamics to see evidence of it.



If your omnipotent/omniscient god is real, Why is he so much less powerful than these realities?

There are different kinds of faith. There is something called blind faith. For the most part it is impossible for an educated Christian to have blind faith since Christ and the apostles were historical people if we are to believe most historians.

And if you will notice this thread is in the history forum. We're for the most part talking cold facts in here, not faith, although I believe faith is important. Faith is also important in the belief of abiogenesis ( the belief that over time life came from non-living chemicals through non-intelligent random forces). This requires faith also because it has never been proven (just theorized).

The main theme of the book cited in post #1 of this thread is that after all the facts are examined (history, science, prophecy, etc.) it actually takes more faith to be an atheist than a Christian.

Several people have explained this to you several times, when you continue to repeat things that have been shown to you to be wrong it could leave people to think you are being intentionally dishonest. Believing that Jesus and the Apostles existed and lectured on how to treat your slaves is very different to believing Jesus is a type of magic god man who pretended to die but didn't really and now goes round not using his supposed ability to prevent people suffering.

You certainly have blind faith in the existence of your JesusGodthingy.

Your ability to post is not evidence that the New Testament writers told the truth.

Rather than just repeatedly update us on your running total, why not link to the specific posts with the evidence? NB: that's partly rhetorical - I suspect that you don't want to get into specifics about what the evidence you've posted actually is because you've already seen it demolished.

Incidentally, the search function here truncates its results at 275. Have you really counted all of your 844 posts by hand? I guess that would explain the recent gap of over a fortnight between your posts.

If you click on the "number of replies" on the right side of the screen in the subforum thread list it tells you who has posted in that thread, and how many times.
 
Oh no!!! I've only posted 502 times compared to DOC? I need to pump up my posts so that DOC will shut up about his post count!!!
