TAM London Roll Call

Is it really possible that only 10-12 people from the forum made it to TAM?
There may be many who snagged tickets but have not seen this thread yet. Though it's very disappointing to know for sure that many of our friends will not be able to make it.

I also could do with knowing whether there's anything going on before or after. As it stands, I'm planning on travelling down on Friday and going home on Monday.

I'll be checking the football fixtures when they are released in June before making my travel plans. I know at least one other person is interested.

I know Arsenal & Chelsea are impossible (and other London EPL sides too, like Tottenham?), unless someone here has some pull? If not, we'll try for a Coca-Cola match or two.

Tickets for Arsenal are not totally impossible although they would be difficult (not to mention expensive).

Your best Premier League London option is probably Fulham (I think they even have a neutrals section such has been their problems filling their ground), but otherwise you can take your pick from the Championship sides (as you said) :)

I'm going. V v v much looking forward to it, would be really happy to meet up for drinks somewhere.
Tracy, do you need volunteers to do stuff? I'll be around all day Friday, my flight gets into London quite early.

That's very kind but I think we're OK for volunteers - I'll let you know if that changes but you should know yours is at the end of a very long queue of requests! :D

I've not been to a match in London, so can't really comment on the ease of getting to see West Ham, Spurs, etc. I would suspect you can get in, though that will depend on who they are playing. The nearest non-London team is Portsmouth, and you should be able to get tickets to see them, but I've not travelled there by train from London. (You might find this book interesting background reading, though, on both Pompey and visiting most of the Premier League grounds in general.) If you can't get tickets to a Premier League match (absolutely no-one in the UK refers to the 'EPL', and I suspect most won't even know what it stands for) Reading is in striking distance from London (easier than Portsmouth, I would say), and the chances of getting a ticket would be pretty high, and prices lower.

Yeah, I was close to going to Reading last time, until I got a last minute invite to Stamford Bridge.

I'm a TAM London ticket draw winner. So I'll be going. :)

I thank the Secret for teaching me about the law of attraction. If you weren't a winner, you didn't want it bad enough.
