Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

My mom had a college degree. In fact, she holds a PhD. My sisters both are moms with college degrees.

Why are you painting moms to be uneducated and home-bodied?

Well I am happy for your mom, but there are tons of single moms who have to work and take care of their kids (with very little help if any) which leaves very little time or energy for school. I would bet the majority of single moms struggle to try to go to college. I myself got pregnant before even thinking about college and I was a full time waitress for many years.

Was your mom ever a single mom? Did she get her degree before she became a mother??

So? Someone makes a stupid decision and it is somehow evidence of your nonsense?
No, I'm just pointing out that a least one former Jew has interpreted Isaiah 53 differently then the person above that came in here and said (without evidence) that the chapter is symbolic and refers to the Israelites.

Yes they do and they still manage to make it through college. So what's your excuse?

Does it matter? Your failures are your own. Your lies are your own responsibility.

So what? One SINGLE Jew who became Christian and works for a nutjob organization as opposed to millions of others who reject that nonsense?

Would you like me to trot out the multitude of ex-Christian atheist as evidence of that your interpretation of the Bible is garbage? You really have no idea what evidence and anecdotes are at all.

You must have forgotten the rest of your statement:
"You must have been raised Jewish. If that is true then I would assume you are now a godless Jew like Sigmund Freud."

So what has being raised Jewish or godless got to do with the validity of someone's statement?..

Nothing, it just seemed odd to me that Houkele, an atheist, should speak on how the Jews would disagree with me. She should let the Jews speak for themselves on how they feel about my posts. Then since she spoke in such a way I assumed she was raised Jewish. If she wasn't raised Jewish, then state so and let's move on. And why should me stating a fact that Sigmund Freud was godless and a Jew bother people. You have to seriously ask yourself that question.

So now DOC is an anti-semite as well? Wow.
Non Sequitur, and you must not have read this post:
Why should I be angry at the Jews, I'm very happy with the Jews. They gave us Mary and Joseph and Jesus and Paul and all the apostles.

Face it DOC, your 'style*' of presenting arguments is so convoluted, contradictory and downright illogical that, by comparison, you almost make your god seem rational

Nice to see you back, Kathy. There's a thread for you to elaborate on your comments about DNA and evolution here: http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=141780

The Supreme Court of the US doesn't think the American Center for Law and Justice of which former Jew, Jay Seculow, is the lead lawyer is a nutjob organization since they have accepted several cases brought to them by the organization.

And of course you shouldn't assume this lawyer is the only Jew to convert to Christianity because of the prophecy in Isaiah chapter 53.

ETA: Have you ever heard of "Jews for Jesus"

Her link was Jews speaking for themselves. It shows that Jews think that Jesus was not a messiah and did not meet any of their prophecies.
Then since she spoke in such a way I assumed she was raised Jewish.
You assume wrong. That's a hallmark of racists.

Because it has no relevance to her arguments and you used it as a slur. It may surprise you by not all Godless Jews are like Freud.

Why it is a racist, anti-atheist slur is YOUR problem. You have to seriously ask yourself that question.

They have accepted cases from Mass murderers, death row inmates, software pirates and terrorist before. So?

No. And of course you shouldn't assume he even converted just because he said so. If he converted just because of that single piece of the Bible, he truly is a stupid.

You asked what my wife does. This was clearly an attempt at changing topics. You claimed to grasp science, and when pressed you complain about being a mom. You lied and attempted to use your motherhood as an attempt to avoid admitting your lie.

I have 1 single mom in my class right now. She's top in her class AND has a 4 year old.

DOC, you are avoiding the issue. The phrase "son of god" did not originally mean "son of god". Christians adopting that interpretation later doesn't magically change that fact.

For instance, The 1890s are frequently known as the "gay 90s". Just because gay now means homosexual, that doesn't mean that everyone in the 1890's magically became homosexuals.

Then since she spoke in such a way I assumed she was raised Jewish. If she wasn't raised Jewish, then state so and let's move on.
No, she didn't. She spoke in a way that completely destroyed your argument and you are now avoiding this issue by presenting a highly prejudicial argument.

And why should me stating a fact that Sigmund Freud was godless and a Jew bother people. You have to seriously ask yourself that question.
Because it's called Poisoning the well. It's a dishonest argument tactic and rather distasteful.

I'd wager that almost all of them are buggered by now

That would be the suffering servant, a nice Isaiahan trope, which refers to the Israelites who suffer but will persevere nonetheless.
How in the world do you go from the suffering servant to Jesus as divinity? That passage refers to a man -- who stands in symbolically for a group -- with not only no mention of divinity, but no intimation that divinity even entered the authors mind (that is for the suffering servant).

The very passage in and of itself can be considered divine since it prophesies Jesus.

So... Jesus is divine because he is prophesiesed in this passage?
And this passage is about divinity... Because it refers to Jesus?

I expect you get wholesale prices on circular reasonings...

You are wrong to say Jeremiah, I brought in Isaiah 53, the chapter that converted well known attorney Jay Sekulow from Judaism to Christianity.

Actually, my comment on Judaism was in response to you bringing up Daniel (not Jeremiah, my mistake). The Isaiah reference came after my comments on the Jewish concept of a messiah, and how he is not a divine being, but fully human.

Ichneumonwasp's comments regarding Isaiah are spot on.

Who cares what Sekulow thinks? Appeal to authority hasn't worked for you yet, although you keep trying.

ETA: And no, I wasn't raised Jewish, my ancestors weren't cannibals, and I have no idea what my upbringing has to do with the veracity of my arguments. Although I will admit, I cannot wait to see what your next guess will be.
