No serious politician, much less a first term President, will commit political suicide by legalising such a dangerous, addictive gateway drug.
Some problems:
1) You didn't include the Planet X option, which automatically invalidates any and all conclusions you might wish to draw from this poll.
2) In most states, if a blood test reveals that you have 0.08% alcohol in your blood, you are legally intoxicated. Could you please tell me what the level of THC in one's bloodstream should be for one to be considered legally intoxicated?
Care to back up your claims regarding it's danger?
Also danger isn't really the issue. The issue is peoples rights to control their own bodies. Of course "conservatives" are often the first to want to control other peoples bodies (and lives!).
I think simple possession should stop being a felony, simply because it's ridiculous that being drunk as a skunk is only illegal if you're driving, but being stoned means federal charges.
It's a scientific researched fact that people under influence of THC have slow reaction times and are easily distracted.

Look, smoke damages lung tissue no matter what kind.
It has been conclusively shown that people who start out innocently smoking a joint may become heroin junkies.
People who buy illegal drugs aren't trustworthy
and addicts are a drain on society.

So what? Any evidence that the affects of THC are worse than say, booze?

That may all be so, but I have yet to see anyone arguing in favor of marijuana's legalization propose a maximum allowable blood THC level.I think it's possible to figure it out with a blood test.
In any case, I think it would be a huge advancement to legalize the substance but make it illegal to drive (and whatever other dangerous activities have alcohal restrictions) with any amount of THC in your system.

It should be legalized. Why not make money on it instead of spending money on the impossible mission of getting rid of it?
Ehm, you're not allowed to drive "boozed", either. So why do you think that "easy distraction" and "slow reaction times" aren't a problem when it comes to THC?![]()

Jeez. I cannot believe how many people can't detect a trollpost when they see one. Just shows nobody remembers the old days of this forum.
I was the smokingest smoker that e'er smoked a smoke!
*packs one up and giggles*
O my lungs! The lunghammer once again!
