I thought that you may try to dodge me here so I did take some steps that will solve your problem of volunteers that require a month to get and allow more time for negotiations.

Over a month ago I contacted over a Dozen Paranormal Research groups

I'm David Koenig. I am a performing Mentalist, both live and frequently on radio shows. In the past few weeks, I have been featured as a guest, performing as Professor Slim King, on the following shows: The Ghostman and Demon Hunter show, Shadows in the Dark and Pangea's World of Weird. The listening audience as well as myself, had a great time!

Although Mentalism is widely considered an ancient performing art, I also involve myself in serious paranormal and supernatural events. I have always felt that I could duplicate something done in 1983 by a fellow Koenig on Europe's largest radio station Radio Luxembourg!
After moving to Florida I discovered the Devil's Chair to be a true portal to the spirit world as claimed by many others over the years. Therefore, I have applied to the The James Randi Educational Foundation in order to take their advertised "Million Dollar Challenge" with the goal of simply "making contact."
I would be more than happy to award each paranormal research group a $25,000 scholarship, or whatever the government leaves us and provided we win the challenge, for assisting in the planned demonstration. With everyone's help this has the potential for becoming the largest paranormal investigation in history and this is why I am extending an invitation to you to be a part of it.
The first investigation/demonstration will take place on October 31, 2008, Halloween. We should expect ample media exposure for all!The Ghostman and Demon Hunter Show, based in Indiana, are the first to commit their support. I hope you will join in on the fun!

Would you please tell us more about the paranormal aspect of the voice that will be recorded? If we know more about it, perhaps we can come up with suggestions on how to show that it is indeed paranormal. I feel silly asking again, as I've asked already so many times on this thread--but I'll try again. Where does the voice come from? How do you know it's paranormal? Does it come from a dead person? Why are you avoiding talking about the paranormal aspect of this?

The catch 22 seems to BE the word Paranormal.

I see that, despite many requests to the contrary, you are concentrating your efforts on turning this into a media circus, instead of concentrating of your protocol.
And you are correct[/i]-this time restriction is discriminatory. You should never have announced the time of place of the attempt before submitting your application to the JREF. It gave them little time to negotiate the protocol with you, especially since you went on a trip right after the announcement which cut the time even more.

That date thing is difficult because you are limiting us to October
31st. We are simply running out of time. If you want to postpone the
test until October 31st, 2009.. or another date of our mutual
agreement, that's fine. We will need at least a month to prepare for
the challenge, as we need to find volunteers and coordinate, etc.

The first thing I need is for you to clearly state your claimed
ability and under what conditions you can perform this ability.
Normally we'd ask for an accuracy rating, but I don't think that
applies here.

That's what we're all waiting for, Professor. State your claimed ability and under what conditions you can perform it. We've got approximations of your ability, but they all seem to be 'I will sit on a chair, and then something will happen.'

It's great you feel so confident about this. I wish you the best of luck. Or, really, no luck at all, since you won't need it.

But your claim, even to the common eye, is lacking a lot of specificity. You mention a lot of names, like Houdini, and a place, and a date and time. But not exactly why you think any of it will work.

I am entirely sure you are not delusional. But you sure sound like some of the more delusional sorts who apply, and have no sense of logic or proportion.

I know you are not that sort, because you can speak reasonably and rationally. Those sorts never do. But the closer you approximate the subject of your claim, the less sense you make, and the less specific you get. You promise, and promise, and promise, and never deliver.

Why, you sound almost like a politician.

There are no negotiations going on here. All there is, is you stalling and not submitting a protocol.

I predict an unacceptable protocol will be sent to Jeff on either the 25th or 26 that will not be acceptable. There will be no time left on the deadline and that is exactly what the professor is aiming for.

He will then ignore the offer to be tested in 2009 and claim that the JREF refused to test him.

When The Professor finally proclaims that the JREF stonewalled him and ran away from his challenge, the evidence of his lie will be here, on this public forum, for all to see.

Unfortunately, those who are predisposed to believe the Professor's false accusations will never read this. And it's clear that the Professor knows this.

Do people who rely on the deception of others (excluding magicans) to accomplish their goals not ever see the weakness of their moral position in these situations, and in their lives in general?

If I'm reading this right. Prof's claim is that he can ask questions and receive coherent answers from the dead. Could the dead name the contents of a sealed envelope? Even if none of us could understand the EVP recording, all that the prof would need to do is correctly identify what's in the envelope. So, what of it Prof? Could you do that or something similar?

I have to say that if you can't do anything but produce 'spooky sounds' then I remain unimpressed.
