All I can see in that photo is a bad case of pareidolia. In fact, it took me a little while before I could see any kind of humanoid figure. But yeah - what I at first took to be a largeish orchid-like flower could by a stretch of the imagination be the little guy's beard.

Is there any chance of being able to see the entire photograph? This is clearly a crop. The whole photograph might give us a sense of scale, and indicate what the background might be like. I have a suspicion that the photo was taken in an orchid garden...

Yes, actually. Your photo does not show nearly enough detail for me to make any kind of judgement of what it depicts. I can see how you can see a little person in there - like I said, I saw an orchid. We're probably both wrong. The whole picture would give me more to work with.

Finally, your "evidence" is nothing other than your own say-so, since you steadfastly refuse to show it to anyone. Are we simply supposed to take your word for it?

Absolutely nothing can be proven on the internet. To request evidence is to request proof. Leprechauns can no more be proven than Bigfoot. I have spoken with Americans who have spent a summer in Ireland, and they assured me that Leprechauns are quite real. Otherwise, you are free to use the internet, or amazon.com to buy and read some books.

This is the post that did it. This is the one that confirmed to me beyond any shadow of doubt that historian is simply trolling, or having a bet with someone, or trying to make some kind of point.

Answer: Bigfoot are telepathic and can watch a researcher set up a trail cam from a pretty fair distance away. They will then likely avoid that area. I finally located a copy of Jack Lapsertis' The Psychic Sasquatch through interlibrary loan. Here is the evidence:


From Lapsertis, Jack "Kewaunee." The Psychic Sasquatch. Mill Spring, N.C.: The Wild Flower Press, n.d. Pp. 91-92.
Lapsertis says that the information comes via "Irene Wilson" (a pseudonym) who heard a disembodied voice speak to her with the message that the earth is a living organism, that pollution is bad, and that we have to learn to respect living things. The voice goes on,

"We have tried to share these vital concepts with several people in power, but they had too much fear and were not open to contact. President Jimmy Carter was the only president receptive enough to listen to us, because he is very spiritual. Now he knows the universal truths we shared."

And according to the index, that is the only mention of Jimmy Carter in the book--by the way, Wild Flower Press is owned and operated by the author, Jack Lapsertis, apparently (at least that's the way it seems from the author's note on p. 219; the book lacks a colophon and copyright notice and date.).

So the evidence is what a disembodied voice said to a psedonymous woman who repeated it to the author of the book.
