TAM 5.5 Forum Party

I almost asked what you knew that I didn't, but if you're talking about Becky in San Diego, oh yeah. If you're talking about some other occasion, spill!
Well, that is the only occasion that I know of... Although, having seen pictures of some of the Vegas vacations, I am surprised that it's the only time!

What is the name of the hotel across the street? I want to get a Suite but the hotel we are in doesn't have one... If I can get one, or if I can't maybe we can get ajoining rooms to open up the party and lower the chance of someone complaining about the noise...

It's the Holiday Inn Express.

I'll come instead of the pool party. It solves my bathing suit problem. :)

This will actually be after the pool party so you can come to both (sorry, it doesnt solve your bathing suit issue although I would suspect the weather will solve that for you)

Ok, at latest count, looks like we have about 30 people coming.

For those of you who want to bring something, we need:

Soft drinks - diet coke, regular coke, sprite, fruit juice, etc
Chips & Dip/misc snacks
Any booze you want/like - I'll bring some beer, wine and a little hard liquor
(vodka/scotch)

If you're bringing something specific, let me know so I won't double up when I make a supply run. For those of you who offered to make runs, I may catch up with you if need be, although I should have access to a car.

Can't wait!

If newbies are invited I'll bring some non-alcoholic drinks (as the alcoholic drinks appear to be covered).

Possible suggestions:
Water, milk, Yoohoo in flavors, drinks that must be good for you because they are labeled "sport" even though they have higher sugar content then soda, apple juice, orange juice, mango juice, prune juice, plum juice, vanilla milkshakes, chocolate milkshakes, asparagus milkshakes, mistletoe sap and milk from a pure white cow mixed with a crystal asthame, Earl Grey tea mixed with sugar and honey with a spoon bent by James Randi, or maybe some canned soda.

You left off Chicken Ripple.

I will drop by. I suspect Travis will drop by and stay until asked to leave. :)

Why would he be asked to leave?

On the Alaskan cruise, he stayed at the ship's bar with El Spectre, Cleon, Loon, and a few others...until they closed every morning.

Don't worry, he will be behave. At the risk of inflating her ego :D Travis learned by closely watching the master.

There are at least two people in that picture that are amazed at Rebecca's right hand. What exactly is she gripping there?

ETA: Oh, she's spiking a drink. A real pro, being able to do that without looking.

Who's drink was she spiking? And was Rich in on it too, since he's standing with the camera pointed straight at her, and not bothering to film the deed...

I'll bring a bottle of Scotch, I won't have much acess to transport but I'm willing to put up some ccsh if anyone is doing a beer run.

I've got a bottle of Scotch here as well. I'll bring it if my suitcase isn't getting too heavy.....

Clothes are over-rated. Bring the Scotch.

It's not the clothes that's the problem, it's the beer I mentioned earlier. I can't drink as much as I did before my surgery, and I'll be damned If I'm going to be stuck drinking bad American beer all weekend. When you can only have a few, they've got to be good!

Unless someone in Florida can confirm that I can get Alexander Keith's down there....

Here are some of the things I can bring to the party. Please pick the one or two you think would be coolest. Also, please warn me which of them would not be welcomed:

1. Music – I got a bunch of cool, but relatively unique, things most people like to hear, at parties: Blue Man Group, Cirque du Soleil (the rockin' stuff, not the opera stuff), George Hrab, They Might Be Giants, etc. I also got plenty of "Weird Al" Yankovic, if you ever change your mind about him.

2. Chocolate – The good news is that I both live and work near stores that sell really gooooood stuff!!! I'm not going to specify. I want to keep it a surprise. But, the bad news: Everyone else, and their dogs, will be bringing in chocolate, as well. So, it would hardly qualify as "unconventional thinking".

3. Non-Alcoholic Beverages – Well, I would probably have to purchase them the day before. I don't think it would be feasible to carry the supply with me on the plane. But, I am willing to do it! I can mix it up, with both standard stuff (Coke, Sprite, etc.) and any interestingly unique things I happen to find in the area! (I do not drink, nor am I willing to buy, alcohol.)

4. Other Snack Foods - Again, we'll see what interesting stuff they got in the area.

5. Magic Tricks – I can't perform them terribly well, myself, but if I bring them, maybe someone else can put on a show!

6. Video Camera – To record the fun and shenanigans!

7. My Insult List – I know some of you are probably going to be next, on it.
