You know, Drew, to be honest I feel that those are the kinds of things that are like big neon signs for zealot footers to come and get all bent out of shape. It's like Sweaty bait. They're just going to come in with such and such reasons why it demonstrates the opposite. You're just setting yourself up IMHO.The most convincing thing to me that the PGF is a Hoax is this.
Patty walked carefully ACROSS the view of the camera
Logically a 'shy' beast would run AWAY from the camera if it was scared/skittish
Patty was scared/skittish because Patterson and Gimlin said that she took off running when she reached the woods.
Why would a beast run AFTER reaching cover? Would it not run while in the open? then slow down upon reaching the safety of the trees?
Our saddlebags contained on one side rifles and grub and, on the other, ready-loaded movie- and still-cameras and other equipment.
If it hasn't been done already, I think this should be as much of a motto for bigfootery as LTC's "Bigfoot is everywhere yet nowhere."There's always an excuse.

You couldn't have stated it any better, historian!
I've said essentially the same thing about the "skeptical" thinking that exists on this forum....by calling it a 'sewer' of a discussion board.
The skeptical "analysis" of the evidence that goes on here is not critical analysis...it's wishful thinking analysis.
A great example of this is Correa's post with the images of Gorilla suits.
After reading it, I thought of the phrase...(inspired by the Christmas season)....."The Little Dreamer Boy"....to describe Correa. His comparison of the suits with Patty's hide is pure wishful thinking. I'll demonstrate why it is, sometime later today.
That's the first one that came to mind. I put my money on LAL.Kitakaze,
Are you saying that I've left myself open to attack by those that promote the idea that Patty was acting as a lure, to get the evil humans away from her adolescent?
We all agree that common sense points towards a hoax. I just think it's a much simpler common sense than any of her behaviours on film. I think the "40 yers and that's the best you got!?" is great. I also think the excuses and wishful thinking you have to engage in to get around it is far more transparent.(snip)I am just trying to show that common sense tells you that it is a hoax...
That's a great shot. What's he humping? The photo above is from some behind the scenes video I took on BUFFY. Stuntman Lee Whitaker has his foot pointed straight yet it appears to have a mid-tarsal bend; the type that Dr. Meldrum and others noticed on the PG film. This is typical of this type of fake foot. Sorry. Reality rears its ugly head once more.
Since I just dropped my own Sweaty bait a couple of posts above I might as well deal with it myself:
Still waiting.
I'm sure it will support the validity of the PGF as much as your other demonstrations.I will get to that....I just haven't had time to highlight Correa's gorilla suit pictures yet.
I'll get them posted no later than Friday....I promise!![]()
Ah, you see Patty knew she was dealing with the males of another hominid species. She went for a little sultry saunter with a fine view of diaper butt goodness and a little flash of the hair cans for maximum enticement. You know, it's funny. Every other animal I've seen in nature that tries to lure animals away from young either:

Hey Sweaty, what do you make of the dark band on Patty's wrist that you say doesn't exist?
Would you like me to post the picture again or do you have it memorized by now?
She was just swinging along as the first part of my film shows but, all of a sudden, she just stopped dead and looked around at me. She wasn't scared a bit. Fact is, I don't think she was scared of me, and the only thing I can think of is that the clicking of my camera was new to her."
When she got around the corner and into the real heavy stuff [timber and underbrush] she did take off--running, I mean because, when we lost her tracks on pine needles after tracking her for about three and a-half miles, we took plaster casts of her tracks. Now, down by the creek, in the sand, where we first spotted her, her stride was from forty to forty-two inches from the back of the heel on the left side to the back of the right heel ahead; but when she got really going, she left tracks that measured sixty-five inches from back heel to back heel. Man, she was running just like you and I do!
So, no compliant inhuman gait, eh?Roger Patterson quoted by LTC8K6 said:Man, she was running just like you and I do!
