I have no idea what you personally would consider an independent body, since it's your perceptions of influence we're talking about. The 911 commission was bipartisan - is that good enough, or would you require the absence of anybody from the Republican party? Does any institution that gets government funding count? What about funding from corporations that may be closely involved with the government (i.e. most, if not all, of them)? I think your problem here is that you're asking for an investigation by a nonexistent body.

It's the great thing about the ignore feature. If he says something that does raise some interesting questions, there are plenty of folks who will quote it and respond, and I'll see it that way.

It's not shying away from anything. Honestly, my forum is world famous for being rule10holes. But it's about basic decorum. You don't act the same way in a church you would in a strip club, and you don't act the same way on an educational forum as you would where cursing and goatse links are the norm.

And I have no patience for those who can't grasp that, especially from anyone whose first rule of debate is "step in others' cornflakes."

I would expect that. I already know you and facts are not working together. Your posts exposed that short coming. I think your choice of experts is great for sound experience, kind of poor for research into 9/11. Looks like you will not be presenting any fact filled posts on much of anything based on an analysis of you post to date, I have learned John Lennon beats three dead Kennedy's.

Cute quote. Have no idea who this is, or even why I should care. As far as the quote itself, it's stupid. The majority of people think it's a bad idea to jump off a cliff. Are they wrong?

Alright, since I can't read the thread without you, at least for now you're off the list.

Fact is, outside of this issue, you'd probably find a lot we agree on... and 10 years ago we'd probably have agreed on this. I still don't trust the government, and wouldn't put something like this past for them for a second.

But it's not the government's explanation that makes it true, it's the science behind it. Moreover, if we're basing this around deceit and a willingness to do or say anything to advance their agenda... the same set of standards must be applied to those trying to expose them.

As is mentioned repeatedly, most conspiracies... even the ones that make great pains to prove they're not trying to implicate the firemen or cops, still must be based on every single person in government being completely without honor, and dishonest enough to willingly take part in the murder of thousands of their fellow countrymen. I don't know if that's the case but the odds seem pretty great. Conversely, a rudimentary look at the twoofers shows deceit, doublespeak, baseless accusations towards anyone who disagrees with them and a complete refusal to accept any science or unbiased review of their "facts" as anything other than being in on it.

One's level of trust in the government should never dictate their search for the truth, at least as far as the physical evidence goes, regardless of which side they are on. I'm yet to see anyone in the "movement" who, for a second, gives me any reason to believe they can grasp that.
 
Ahhh failings in logic. It really needs to be taught more often.

Even if we take the absurdity of "Minorities are almost always in the right" as truth, being in a minority doesn't make you right. And being right doesn't make you in the minority.

More like "Minorities are in the right, when they are right. Majorities are in the right when they are right. Sometimes their paths cross."

Being a small band of idiots doesn't make you right just because you're in a small band.
