Sorry fach. but that's not me. What d'ya mean , "not worth the effort"? All you had to do was name 3 people off the Straight Dope 'banned' list. In response to Dave's query, "No, I can't, can you think of any? I suppose I 'd be happier if it was picked by someone not in the administration dept. though, say someone from the opposition party arranged it!".

Actually, I misrepresented myself here, it was 53 posts to get banned, I'd been 'tagged' as a 'troll' way before that! I'm not really proud of the fact, but I am proud at how quick I got them( or their contributors!) to expose their own intolerances. If troll's are not 'illegals' on this site, does that mean I can't get banned, I'll just be made to feel unwelcome? In THAT case , I'll be popping in for coffee and cake, and a bit of chat for a while, I think.
 
We also do Yoga on Sundays. You should check that out as well. It may only be available to NWO members...so I'll need to use a guest pass for you if so.

There is no "banned list", at least not one that's publicly accessible. Trolls are banned quietly and without fanfare, so there's probably a 99% chance that I never even encountered you, let alone noticed you. There are over 69,000 Doper user names registered, and we don't have access to the member list. So, really it's not worth the effort. (My guess of "The Grapist" was based on your use of purple text.)

Here's the thing. If you'd tell me what your user name there was, I could actually search for you and see if you were banned because of "intolerances" or whether your behavior really was trollish. If you don't want to tell me, that's fine, but it doesn't precisely strengthen your case.

What makes you think free speech gives you the right to go onto a private forum and say and act like you please? First Amendment doesn't apply here. You agreed to a membership agreement, saw the rules, now don't want to follow them? Explain, please!

Well it isn't free speech here. It's owned by someone and they reserve the right to edit or delete what they want like a business has the right to refuse service etc. The thing is I keep trying to post something that is new and not on the web anywhere. I have this written so pristine clean so pure that little bo peep would read more controversial.

I have the freedom to weigh your attitude and demeanor against anything of value you may one day post and decide you'll never bring anything productive to the table and moreover really don't want to. I'm glad they don't immediately ban stupidity here, but it doesn't mean I have to wallow through it.

I love it when people think "Free Speech" entitles them to spout their ideas in a private forum. You do realize that Free Speech is really "CONGRESS shall make no law prohibiting..."

Come into my house, and start spouting off stuff I don't want you to say, I can throw you out of my house just for what you said... And if you don't leave peacefully, you can be forcibly removed, all while whining about "but but but my freedom of speech!"
