Psychic Detectives are real

Just got through watching Psychic Detectives on Court TV and I suggest the person with an open mind watch the repeat tonight.

I will give you a quick overview:

A girl gets killed in a fire and the police suspect her neighbor did it. A psychic talks to the detective and tells him a young white male whith blonde unkempt hair did the crime. The detective tells him that they have a suspect. The psychic says you have the wrong suspect.

The detective takes the psychic to the crime scene and the detective takes notice because the psychic began to subscribe things that only him and his investigators knew. She then told the detective that the criminal came back to the scene and stole the victims white rabbit. The psychic said when you find the white rabbit you will find the killer.

The psychic then followed the criminals energy, like I taked about earlier. She took the police to places that the criminal has visited around the area. The police begin looking for the criminal based on the psychic's description.

The detective calls the psychic back to his office and she tells him that she keeps seeing 2 names, Lucille and Maryland. The narcotics unit is about to investigate a lead that matches the description given by the psychic. The guy lives off Maryland and that's off Lucille.

When they get into the house what do they find under his bed? The white rabbit from the crime scene. When they arrest the guy he's a 17 year old white male with blonde unkempt hair.

It's like the psychic said, they give the police the pieces of the puzzle and the police has to put the puzzle together. The only thing supernatural about psychic ability is that we don't fully understand it yet. If you were to go back in time 2,000 years and clone a sheep, that would be considered a supernatural event by the people from that time period.

There were 3 Psychic Detective shows and you should watch all 3 as they will repeat tonight. That's if your a freethinker.

Oh, man, how can I say this politely. Well, like I say to some of my friends who say, "Well it was on TV, it must be true."
"Really? Is there some sort of rule that they have to tell the truth?"
"Well, like the FCC, the government and all."
"Nope, they can televise any BS they want. Free speech. Free don't mean true."
P.S. The farkin word is "you're" not "your" . Take an ESL course, please.

Just got back from vacation, and this thread caught my eye. Immediately noticed that the similarities with the "stop Robert Lancaster" thread were so numerous and so striking, that I waded through the whole thing looking for the (in my opinion) inevitable "you stupid skeptics, I was just joking!" admission from polomontana. Unfortunately, it hasn't happened yet.

So I'll bow out for now, other than to offer my personal opinion that psychic detectives are not only not real, but in a just world they would be severely condemned and punished for the incalculable harm they cause. And I believe anyone who supports and promotes them are at best terribly misguided.

CFLarsen,

I will concede you your point. Kay Rhea didn't help in the Mark Klass case. What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? That says nothing about her helping in cases that were solved. I never made the claim that psychics will be 100% correct because it's a natural occurence that's subject to human error. It's the skeptic that talks about the supernatural but they have not shown me that the supernatural exists.

What it has to do with the cases where she (claimed she) helped? You ask that in all sincerity?

Kathlyn Rhea lied about a case.

Let's take that again:

Kathlyn Rhea lied about a case.

Regardless of how well you think psychics can do:

Do you still believe that Kathlyn Rhea is psychic? Yes or no.

It's a very simple question. You don't need to give lengthy explanations as to why. Just say either "yes" or "no".

Unfortunately, it won't. Polomontana is an unusual screen name, and if you google "polomontana", it leads you here, and eventually to his remarkably, um, eccentric...blog here.

A person with an open (and preferably sound) mind should consider the fact that what's on a TV show is not necessarily only the truth, nor the whole truth.

Unless you can come with the actual official pieces from the police and the judiciary authorities who dealt with the case, you've got nothing reliable at all. The TV producers of such vapid shows know it, and they also know their target public (the usual gullible fools who buy on their nonsense) will neither check the "information" they're provided, nor have access to any real evidence that would allow them to do so.

"Closed-minded" skeptics like us, on the other hand, have this nasty habit of not just believing the first thing we see on TV, of checking on all the evidence we can put our greedy little hands on, and to ask officials pointed questions like "did things really happen like it was depicted on TV?", "do you know and did you really work with the alleged psychic/medium on the show?", or "is Mr So-and-so a member of your organisation and is he really allowed to talk about this case on the behalf of said organisation", and so on. And, on almost all occasions, the answers have been "No, no, and not quite".

Anyway, you didn't answer my question about how do you select a treatment when you're ill, given your assumptions about the burden of proof ...

For all of you non-believers and closed minded skeptics, I suggest you watch the following factual documentary and concede that modern science can not show everything. The documentary is called “The Lord of the Rings” and goes into great detail about the lives of Hobbits, Elves, Orcs and Wizards. There are also tons of books on the subject.

Now closed minded skeptics would have us believe that Elves do not exist. I challenge you to come up with some evidence to disprove the existence of Elves. They are immortal and as such, disprove the scientific nonsense that we all just die and turn to dust. The documentary went into a lot of detail about how they are able to sail to the undying lands. I suggest that if you want confirmation, you contact a Mr S Gamgee, who was quite vocal on this show and should be able to tell you all about it. I’m happy to believe what he says, and the burden of proof is on you the skeptics to show he is lying. LOL Checkmate!!!!!

Just got through watching a documentary on TV, and I suggest the person with an open mind watch it on DVD tonight.

I will give you a quick overview:

A large alien spaceship split up into lots of smaller spaceships which fly down to the Earth. Everyone thinks they are friendly except for one computer geek who says they suspect wrong.

The computer geek went to the invasion scene, and the military took notice because he began to describe things that they didn't know. He told the military that the aliens had been to the scene before and left a spaceship. The geek said when you find the spaceship you will kill the aliens.

The geek then followed the alien's energy, like I should have talked about earlier. He took the military to the place the aliens had been earlier. The military began looking for the alien's weakness based on the geek's description.

The military then bring the geek back to their base and he tells them he keeps seeing two names, "Area" and "51". The special forces are about to investigate a lead that matches the description given by the geek.

When they get to the base what do they find under the ground? The alien spaceship from a crash scene. When they open it it's 50 years old and looks rather unkempt.

It's like the geek says, he gives the military the pieces of the puzzle and the military has to put the nuclear bomb together. The only thing supernatural about this geek's ability is that we don't fully understand how one nuclear bomb can blow up something a quarter the size of the Moon. If you were to go back in time 200 years and show people aliens, they would communicate about it using Morse code.

There was only one show and you should watch all of it. That's if you're a freethinker. It just goes to show how real the abilities of geeks are, since aliens destroyed half the world and I completely missed it. I guess I must have been in the bathroom. But it was on TV, so it must have been true.

I've always wondered how he managed to code a virus for an ALIEN computer system. That just blew my mind.

Did I mention that my family has banned me from talking or discussing while movies are playing? :D

For some reason, my spirit guide keeps whispering the word "delusional" into my ear.

I have to admit that if anyone could convince me Neo is the new Jesus, it would be Judd Nelson.

"You know, tar actually STICKS to some people."

LOL. I'm going to watch it again tonight. Hehehehe!

I have often thought that if the kid had been replaced with a Richard Prior type of character it would have been a smash.

We'll never know.

.

I bet Harold was simply INUNDATED with replies. Who wouldn't want to throw their money into a surefire winner like this?
