More than 6,000,000 jewish people - along with 50+ million war victims - would probably disagree with your assessment, buzz lightyear. But they can't.

But for me it is the arrogance and stupidity of Bush and co. that puts them in the ranks of all time idiots.
At the time when they decided to attack the Islamic world, tensions were high enough. Now they are at crisis point.

After the 9/11 attacks, America had the sympathy of the world. If they had used this energy combined with a change of foreign policy we would have a much more stable and peaceful world today.
And if the 60 billion dollars a year, that it costs uncle sam to kill and maim was spent on aid programs, who knows what may have been achieved.

Sorry Belz, George is up there with the worst of them.

Yes Paul , I found the drawing inside a card amongst the remains of a house that I was demolishing about 15 years ago.

But while we are here, what did you think was going to happen when you wage war in a urban environment?
The civilians were going to be miraculously protected by the accuracy of the American "shock and awe"?
Give me a break!!!!!!!!!!

The awful thing is that those of us who lived through the Vietnam war years could see this mess comming.

The Arab nations have been waging war on each other from the dawn of time, so they are well skilled in this field.
If you look at the origins of Islam you will see that Mohammed set this religion up to stop these people cutting each others throats.

So the end of this invasion will probably look very similar or worse to the end of the conflict in Vietnam. And the most vivid images for me are the people scrambling into helecopters from roof tops. And then these same helecopters being pushed into the ocean from the decks of aircraft carriers.
Not what you would call a victory march.
