Buzz lightyear and the JREF Challenge

By the way, those indentations are from water. That used to be the high-water mark, and the wave action simply eroded into the sandstone over time.

Sorry Zep, unless the sea was 100 meters higher than its present level, this explination bites the dust.

Since you are the only one of these good old boys, who lives in this part of the world, and is involved in this little "discussion", how about you bring all thoses informative books and meet me out on the "dragons skins" of West head for a skeptic / woo showdown...........partner.

You can bump your gums and flash your books and if we agree that you have proved me wrong I will dissapear in a puff of smoke.

I am heading down to Sydney around easter, so big guy, time to put up or shut up.

I find it funny that *you* throw down the challenge and you want to be shown proof. We've been asking for proof for the longest time. Where's all *your* informative books that have proof.....

And now you're calling them dragon skins. Make up your mind.

Considering that we have shown you at least two differnet theroies, and you haven't agreed with them, why should anyone believe you would go poof, especially when you get to decide if you're wrong... freaking unbelieveible.

(too lazy to spellcheck)

Two theories, Little 10 Toes ?
I thought that I was working on the "skin of a huge reptile" idea.
Obviously you have interpreted a second one, could you please enlighten me as to what it is.

And so far we have only agreed that "geology is a field subject", so if some concensus is to be arrived at it, is best done on site.

I am avoiding the "spellcheck" in an attempt to improve my spelling, so you will have to live with it.

Hello, Buzz. Still here, I see.

I guess you're a fan of the Melbourne Cup? You seem to be trying this into a bit of a staying test. You know, squirting out the same tired BS day after day, while those who can be bothered to try and debate with you wither from frustration.

Never fear, blokes like Gzuz and I will just keep hanging around and taking the piss for as long as you keep churning it out.

How's that Altered States thing going? Looks like you've gone back to dragon's pawprints [hoof? foot? claw?]. Shame really, getting wasted and having a warm bath sounds like much more fun.

What would I do without you Athiest?
In this forum I would probably die of boredom, keep up the good work.
Old Gzuz could lift his act though, if you are going to take the piss, then take the piss!

Will have to wait for mid winter to get back into the altered state thing.
Need the cold and moon and tide allignments to get it happening.

If you want to get the most out of an altered state you really need to get those neurons firing. Getting smashed in the bath is for old folks and sooks. Which one are you?

You're not working on it very hard. I pointed out a long time ago that reptiles do not have imbricate (overlapping) scales so that picture of imbricate rocks that you are calling a "skin" does not resemble reptile skin. You never addressed or "worked on" this point.

I am avoiding the "spellcheck" in an attempt to improve my spelling, so you will have to live with it.
In order to improve your knowledge, you deliberately avoid being shown where you are in error? I think this explains a lot. Do you attempt to improve your math by not checking your addition too?

According to Chinese mythology, Tricky, dragons have aspects of many creatures. Inbricate scales may be a possibility.
As for "working on it", I'm trying to hustle Zep into going for a wander with me over this site so that you have a first hand "skeptic" inspection to work with.

And you will find "spellchecks" and calculators can make your brain lazy.
Give it a try, try and spell everything correctly as you write.

We learn the best lessons from our mistakes.

There is a reason they call it "mythology". Show me one actual dragon with imbricate scales. You see, you still have not addressed the problems with your "idea". You have simply assumed that you are right.

Don't expect Zep to take you up on this. I sure as heck wouldn't. You sound scary to me.

How will you know if you have spelled it correctly unless you have a source to check it against? Sure, if you don't look at the words it is telling you that you misspelled you are being lazy.

Tricky, I hate to tell you that you are wasting your time, but you are wasting your time with this line of reasoning. Once Buzz started changing his description of a "dragon" every other post, I realized that he had no idea what a dragon looks like, and would make stuff up as he went along, making any kind of a rational discussion impossible. First it was a snake, then a lizard, then a winged snake, then a winged snake with "toes" (!?), then a winged snake with no toes, but wings like a bat with "fingers", then wings like fins on a fish. It will never end, and any rational argument you come up to further define the thing and its characteristics will simply result in a redefinition of the thing. It's just not worth it.

However, if you are just going along with this for the sake of amusement, ignore this post and carry on!

Taking on Mr Randi's challenge is a bit like climbing a mountain , Little 10 Toes .
When many others have failed, it is best not to go up the same route .
So at the moment I am skirting the flanks of the mountain looking for the best way up .
Normally, it is the preparation that is all inportant in climbing, and the time taken is well spent, so I will continue to probe till the way becomes clear .

The path could not be clearer:

1. State your claim in a proper application, where you
2. Propose a demonstration for said claim and
3. Define success and failure.
4. Do what you claim you can do and get a million clams.

It's that simple.

Another simple thing is you, buzz, taking the piss out of yourself. I simply have to mirror your "words".

Don't expect Zep to take you up on this. I sure as heck wouldn't. You sound scary to me.

You might be right there Tricky.
I might be just scary enough to wake Zep from his "skeptic" self hypnosis.
We wouldn't want that would we?

Poor Hokulele, to make matters worse the critter has a frill around its kneck like this. It's all too complicated isn't it.

Did you ever take those pics of the Hawaiian sandstone?

Buzz Lightyear...

678 replies and you still believe you can put holes in time and space by chanting...

Conclusion...

You're a very, very silly person.

Thankyou.

DB
