I used to mountain bike over in Waiehu quite often, and I can guarantee you there will be nothing like that in any photos. Most of the sandstone on Maui looks like, well, piles of sand. Many of the exposed areas are due to construction, whether roads or subdivisions, not as many due to weathering. You have the beach sand sandstone in Wailuku/Waiehu/Waihee, and cinder sandstone up around Polipoli. Unfortunately, I cannot take pictures up in Polipoli right now, due to a large brushfire that has left the area unsafe (deadfalls and such). If I happen to be in town for any reason, I will try and remember to take a camera.
