Time To Grow Up.

Oh, what the hell, I feel like tilting at windmills today.

Do you want some more testimonials of ex-Wiccans and witches to convince you that that their religion is deceptive?

And for every ex-Wiccan you provide who will testify that Wicca is deceptive, I will provide two ex-Christians who will testify that Christianity is deceptive. KK, all religion is deceptive.

Jesus is not a myth. We have plenty of documents to testify He came and lived among men. Died on the cross, but rose again thus proving Himself to be God. Eyewitnesses, many of them!

Can I get you to provide the names of the eyewitnesses who wrote these documents?

RE: My desire for an immature equine.

In America it's common for kids to want ponies for their birthday or Xmas, particularly girls. Horses are expensive and for many kids it's doomed to be an unfulfilled wish. So "I want a pony" is short for "we don't always get what we want".

While I absolutely understood the reference, please, not "immature equines." Ponies is Ponies. Horses is horses. Baby horses are not "ponies." Baby horses are foals. If they are male, they are colts. If they are female, they are fillies. But they are never ponies (but of course, there are pony foals. *G*)

When I was seven, my mother told me I was going to have a little brother or sister. My response: "Couldn't we have a pony instead?" Sigh. Got a brother instead.

So, Kurious_Kathy, have you reconsidered your position about Wicca?

Are you prepared to admit you were mistaken about their beliefs and practices or are you going to hold the view that you stated earlier?

Don't forget, all religions except hers are really from Satan. That would, of course, include Wicca.

And it would be foolish of her to risk being corrupted by Satan's words by reading any of their materials. It's tough enough keeping those demons out without displaying a welcome mat! :D

Ladewig - I asked for evidence two days ago.

I wish you better luck!

Somebody - was it Dawkins? - once wrote, "If you'll tell me why you believe all other religions are myths & falsehoods, then I'll tell you what I think of yours! (probably paraphrased)

And I personally wouldn't want to be Dawkins on judgement day. Boy is he in big trouble!

Ya, I guess I can see your point. This is why we as true Christians don't say it's about religion, it's all about having a personal relationship with God through Christ. Jesus is truely the only way to do this.
Once we have that #1 relationship the rest falls into place. It's the truth that sets a person free, not religion.

The Pharasees were religious and Jesus told them they weren't going to heaven either, and their guilt is the same as yours, you deny Christ. It's not OK! No one is righteous but Jesus. It's His righteousness shared with people that makes them new and to become holy. We don't have the power to change ourselves, but Christ does!

Yes, naughty Dawkins! how dare he use the brain god gave him to analyize the collection of irrational and self-contradictory books called the Bible and correctly label god as an improbable delusion. He should know that god gave us brains for the same reason to gave us genitals; to propogate worship of him, not to actually fill the world with rational people!

Thanks for telling us that we need to believe in Jesus. No one had ever suggested that to me before.

Can you take a short break form your proseltyzing and answer this question:

I didn't read every article on the site you linked to so I may have missed it, but do you have any evidence to back up the claim that most Wiccans use drugs? I would love for you to either 1) provide reliable evidence or 2) admit that you are wrong on this issue.

or, for that matter, this question:

Do you realize that the Gospels were written a few decades after Jesus died by people who did not witness Jesus's miracles?

Technically you are correct. However, where I grew up a pony was a small horse including any horse. And 7-up, Sprite, Rootbeer and any other soda was "coke". That was wrong also but if you go to many restaurants in small town America and ask for a "coke" they will ask you "what kind of coke" even if they don't have Coke, Pepsi or any other cola since coke means soda.

This is why we as true Christians...
(emphasis mine) Fallacy.

Dear Ed how I love superlatives. You know you have the truth when the missionaries sound like cheerleaders.

It's the truth that sets a person free, not religion.
How would you know what truth is? Every religion believes that theirs IS THE TRUTH.

Why is no one righteous but Jesus? Are you saying that no amount of devotion to good and noble causes can produce a righteous person?
Well I must say I agree with scripture when it tells us that. "There is no one righteous, no not one." Everyone has turned to their own way and the only hope of glory is found in Christ. Even the best of people are still sinners saved by God's grace alone.

I think it's safe to say the hardest people to convince of this are the ones who don't think they are sinners. They've never purposely hurt anyone so why shouldn't God just let them into heaven? Because without the blood of Christ covering them they will not be saved. When it comes to salvation there is a bottom line.

People are so consumed with trying to find balance and live in the grey area of life, but with God there is no middle ground. We either accept His gift or we deny Him. I am just here pleading with others to reconsider their belief in what Jesus did on that cross. He's our only hope!

I don't know what sin is.

I know that I've hurt people. I know that I'm at times selfish and even cruel. I'm also capable of charity and kindness and I'm capable of remorse and when I am cruel I feel bad and I usually ask for forgiveness of those who I have offended.

They've never purposely hurt anyone so why shouldn't God just let them into heaven?
I have purposely hurt people. I don't know what that would have to do with a god even if he or she did exist.

Because without the blood of Christ covering them they will not be saved. When it comes to salvation there is a bottom line.
See, here is the problem Kathy, it's not that I don't want to believe it's that there is no reason to believe. The story doesn't work. It's fantasy. Just because you assert that it is true does not make the concept compelling. At all.

People are so consumed with trying to find balance and live in the grey area of life, but with God there is no middle ground. We either accept His gift or we deny Him. I am just here pleading with others to reconsider their belief in what Jesus did on that cross. He's our only hope!
I baptized people. I believed. Problem was that one day I started to question the whole notion. Much like a child begins to question Santa Claus. It was all magical thinking. A magical being that turned water into wine, healed the sick, raised the dead and walked on water. Fairy-tales.

You been posting here for two years and you still don't understand that when you claim that something is in the scriptures, you have to give us the exact book, chapter, and verse. Please stop saying things are in the Bible without telling us where it is mentioned.

I am just here pleading with others to reconsider their belief in what Jesus did on that cross. He's our only hope!

Why do you not believe us when we say we are beyond redemption? Do you consider Mark 3:29 ( "But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin.") to be inaccurate?

Oh, and for the third time:

I thought Obi Wan was our only hope.

Sorry...couldn't resist.

Please continue.

Wasn't Babylon 5 "our last, best hope"?

Believe it or not, there was a website called www.jediism.com or similar.

Yes - You too can become a Jedi!

Mind you, when I went to crank.net to visit with the Jedi's the website wasn't found. :(
