Maybe we can do away with actually discussing the facts of this event and move into a phase 2...and discuss some of the psychology behind our different forms of thinking and reasoning. I see so much that I want to reply to ..but it gets so overwhelming trying to address it all. For now, let me just present this one analogy/hypothetical question:

Let's say you are specialized in one field of work. And, let's just say that this industry is completely controlled by one big monopoly. Okay, so now...let's say that one of your fellow employees has clear evidence that the top guy who runs this industry sexually assaults some of the female employees. Your co-worker...than proceeds to go to the local police and report this criminal i.e. the guy who runs the industry you work in. Well, unfortunately for your co-worker the guys who runs this industry i.e. your boss, well - his brother is the top guy at the police station...and so, guess what? Your boss' brother at the police station, pulls some strings to prevent your boss from being prosecuted for these crimes. Now, the fallout of this situation...would be your co-worker...NOT only getting fired from his job...but basically being blacklisted from the entire INDUSTRY that he specializes in.

Do you understand how unbelievably devastating that can be to someone's life? What if your co-worker has a family and bills to pay and kids to feed. Remember, although the government may contain thousands of people...if you just break it down one by one...it's all the same. Each one of them are individuals with the same basic needs (provide food and shelter for them and their families) and fears.

And like Bruce be saying: ...fear is a powerful thing...it can turn your heart black...you can trust...

So after you see what happens to your fellow co-worker for speaking out...what would you do, if you continued to see your boss committing heinous acts against women? You know the only thing that will happen if you tell...is you'll get fired...and shamed from the industry, because the uppers will paint you as a loon and a crazy person. So will you just keep quiet? Could you sit back and watch these horrific acts...and not do anything about it? At this point...what do you have to gain from telling the police about your boss' crimes? The police aren't gonna touch him, but you'll certainly have your life ruined. Do you see my point?

Also, just because 9/11 is an inside job...does NOT IMPLY I am saying certain people and/or organizations know about it. I don't even understand how you imply that I'm saying NIST is in on it. They might just be taking orders from above...NO, I don't think they were actively involved in planning 9/11...but, just say that some people in NIST have reason to believe it is an inside job...what do they have to benefit from speaking out? Do you really think it will make a difference? The only thing that will happen is this person will be painted as a traitor...an idiot...a CTer...unpatriotic etc etc. Not to mention the fact, that he will be blacklisted from an entire industry of jobs. Is the picture getting any clearer?

In addition: do we even know the names of all the experts from around the world who were involved in the NIST? And, if so...do any of them have their own individual reports? Has anyone taken the time to see if any of these experts have spoken out about the NIST? See, the thing you may be overlooking is the fact that although you say there are hundreds involved in the NIST...THERE IS BUT ONE REPORT!

I've already stated at how the NIST is government funded...so how easy do you think it would be for them (the government) to HOMOGENIZE this ONE report...down into whatever they want it to be? (Distorting reality is a very simple process...the american media do it every day...and they don't even need to lie...being disingenuous will work just fine. All they do is omit certain facts and/or details...which, in turn - distorts a picture and/or image into propaganda that aids an agenda. If you show an image of a guy beating another guy to death, do we really know what just happened? The guy beating the other guy, is being portrayed as an evil man...but what the newscast failed to show us...is that this evil man, WAS ATTACKED first, and so he was actually just defending himself...he wasn't PROACTIVELY exerting aggression on someone....there is a huge difference)

From what I know...the NIST doesn't even consider planted explosives into their calculations. Apparently, they were given a job of trying to explain how the buildings came down. (I mean, if there is one thing we can agree on, it's the fact that the buildings came down) So, there HAS TO BE AN EXPLANATION! If the NIST...is starting from a point..that doesn't even include the notion of planted explosives...than, yes, I'm sure they'll run wild and try to come up with SOMETHING...anything, because after all...the buildings did fall...so something caused them to come down.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but, the only mention they make of planted explosives was a small footnote - like one paragraph or something...and this was after they completed their analysis. So, I mean..the guys at NIST...we're just doing THEIR JOB - which was to investigate the collapse of some buildings....you think they could have honestly..been like. Um, it's pretty evident that the most likely cause was explosives...THE END. Hey, cool one page report. No, they HAD to try and come up with something...and that something just happens to be so unbelievably accurate...that THEY CAN'T EVEN SHOW US AN ANIMATION OF WHAT THEY THINK HAPPENED! God, knows we would all love to see what your saying happened to those core columns. If the NIST would have simply created an animation of the entire collapses, than maybe us CTers wouldn't even be able to make our claims. One of the most important investigations in the history of the world...and they can't even show us what they're talking about.

To Note: That one post I made about the therma/ite on the one column a block away...I was being completely satirical there...loosen up yall.

true to ockhams razor NIST started its investigation in known, planes hit the buildings and they were on fire

they analyzied the plane impacts, the fire, and how the structure responded and found these things to be sufficient to could a failure

why should explosives have been investigated?

if they had found the fires and impacts not to be enough to cause a failure, then they would have expanded their investigation to include explosives

but lets say you were in charge? how would you have done it?

"well, it could have been bombs, and we know bombs can bring down a building, therefore it must have been bombs"

Think about it....

Let's use your analogy...big boss abuses woman employee who goes to police who happen to be brother of big boss etc etc.... let's say abused employee was raped and went to a hospital to be examined and the doctors found evidence of rape but on orders from the brother of the big boss they say that the employee was not raped. Doesn't that make them guilty of conspiring with the big boss to cover up a crime?

I have seen thermite reactions up close and personal in the lab, and in the field used to weld railtrack - don't you think girls do chemistry or watch people working on the railway?

Have you actually seen one other than on video?

Do you know how they make charcoal? They burn wood in a covered pit, an earth covered binfires or in a metal vessels, with a restricted oxygen supply, as I've already pointed out spoil heap and pit fires burn for months, years with restricted oxygen supply, they don't burn fast but they burn.

You're claiming that a pile of disorganised debris, wouldn't let in enough oxygen for the combustible stuff to continue to burn?

What evidence do yo have for this...beyond ignorance.

I guess some of you have a hard time following simple logic...things are only as complex AS WE MAKE THEM... your left-brained - liner analysis...creates extreme impairment - namely, myopia. You absorb your attention and focus so far down into the calculations that you CAN'T SEE THE FORREST FOR THE TREES!

Good grief. First of all, you don't know that it was an inside job, you believe it was an inside job. Big difference. If you knew it was, I suppose that would make you a co-conspirator and a whistleblower, instead of a lowly conspiracy theorist.
