Personally, I kind of like thinking about it in terms of fully loaded B-52's. That makes it clear in a real hurry just how stupid the explosives hypothesis really is.

No, actually much more. Watch the units. I'm using kilograms of TNT, not pounds.That would convert to roughly 26 tons of C-4, by the way ( a pound of C-4 is about equal to 1.4 lbs. of TNT).
