StopSylviaBrowne.com

Phew finally got to the end.

great idea and wud luv to help out in any way.

still think we should go with Arthur's idea of body slamming her. I mean, she can't sue him, she wrote the chart, so it must have been her idea in the first place.

hmm, would that make her an accessory after the fact, to her own assault.

hey, Arthur could deck her and we could call the police and have her arrested. we would finally be rid of her

Here's a story that has a link to a MW/SB video.

This would almost be funny if it weren't for the victimization factor. Watch the video (link is in the story) and SB contradicts herself early on in the session. She says that the perps did NOT know Audrey, but only minutes later, they do know her! She seemed to have forgotten that she had said the opposite. Also, Marie was playing her. There is no person they know with a floppy hat. Marie threw that out to see if SB took the bait and she does.

It's so pathetic. More info later.

Oh, wow, I just watched that. Well, as much of it as I could stand. I'm not a violent man, but I was itching to hit that withered old gargoyle with something heavy. How does she sleep at night?*

Robert, best of luck. We're all rooting for you.

* Yeah, I know: on a big pile of money.

I can't stop having good ideas ... well, ideas, at any rate. I suspect the reason is that I should be working right now, instead of reading evil sceptic message boards ... oh well ...

Since there was mention of a CMS: Will the site be big enough to justify the implementation of a search? (Full text, possibly, or at least keywords or something ...)

If it does, a CMS might be a good ide; or at least a databse driven site should be looked into. If I get more work, and it looks like I will, I will probably sneak away to do differen things more often... just let me know if I should research possible solutions.

This amuses me passionately:

MARGOLIS: First I need to know if there's someone with an "M" or a "J" initial around you.

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Anyone deceased?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is that a female?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is it spelled M-A...

CALLER: ... yes.

MARGOLIS: R, like Mary or Margaret.

Is it weird to anyone else that the person saying it is "Margolis". M-A-R.

Don't know if anyone's suggested it yet, but it might be worth adding misspellings like "Sylvia Brown" to the keywords, given the number of people who may not get it right the first time...

I've added a link from a page I've got, which has an inexplicably high pagerank given that no-one ever looks at it.

I'm confused.

Psychic Silvia Brown to get the common misellings and to grab Google searches by seekers?

Joining the party, whee! I'll add a link to my personal home page when I get home from work.

Those tools don't seem to be working.

What is the sites page rank on google for the search "Sylvia Browne"?

What's not working?
I am just having a manual look at google, and it seems the site just isn't listed yet.

For Sylvia Browne Link 127 is the first one that seems to reference the site; I checked the first 25 pages of results and the site simply isn't there yet.

Might I also suggest a good way to improve its google ranking might be to add some content that other people might find it worth linking to? I'm sure RSL is working behind the curtain now to create a really comprehensive resource center, but it wouldn't hurt to have a skeleton up now to give an idea what kinds of information are going to be presented (video clips, transcripts, cached lists of predictions, etc).

That would also have the added benefit of giving visitors an idea what kinds of information could be sent to be added as well.

Hey RSL, I just came up with an idea that hasn't been mentioned yet. Whether its a good idea will be up to you. :D

Have you thought about having bumber stickers made that simply say "www.stopsylviabrowne.com"? I know I and probably everyone else on this forum would find good use for them. It would be ashame to only promote the site on the Web and abandon people like myself who don't spend that much time on the internet.

I was thinking it might be useful to set up an archive with material about her;
I will be doing just that for my own use with the site. I am not certain what copyright issues there would be in making it available for others to use. This is something which can be figured out at a later date.
Great job....can't wait to see where it goes!
Thankis, 'scratcher!

Good luck RSL
Thanks y, and thanks for the anagrams. "War on evil by posts" - love it!

This may already have been mentioned somewhere, but didn't Sylvia Browne plagiarize Joe Nickell (of all people) in her most recent book?
I don't know if "plagiarism" is the right word - legally - but Nickell did indeed write an article on the striking similarities between her book's section on the Shroud of Turin and something he had written. It will be mentioned on the site.

I love how she tells the parents when they counter her... 'I don't care'.
She's a sweetheart, isn't she?

hmm, would that make her an accessory after the fact, to her own assault.
My brain hurts!

Robert, best of luck. We're all rooting for you.
Thanks, Palimpsest.

I think that this is definitely in the site's future as I see it, but will not be a part of the initial version of the site.

Yup, it's on my to-do list. I've already registered the domain name without the "e" and am redirecting any traffic to the actual site.

Joining the party, whee! I'll add a link to my personal home page when I get home from work.
Thanks, Genesius!

This cannot be done until I have finished designing the site's layout. I plan for the initial version of the site to go up in the next 2-3 weeks. It won't have a whole lot of content at that point, but will definitely enough for people to decide whether or not they want to support it with a link.

Have you thought about having bumber stickers made that simply say "www.stopsylviabrowne.com"?
SPQR, you leave my bumber out of this! :(

Yes, I will be looking into things like that, after the site is up and a going concern.

My own minimalistic contribution is to be found on my LJ blog. Going under the username of hawk_one.

FSMspeed, Robert!
Thanks, Hawk. I feel His Noodly Appendage guiding me along! :D

Sadly, I don't post much, but I'll contribute to the Bomb.

Good luck, RS!
Thanks Brad, every little bit helps!
