What Me Worry?I don't know who this is, unless he's just mocking random Americans now

Someone tell DOnnie that Nuisance Suites don't work when the POTUS tries them....This is what Trump likes. Not giving up a court case just because you have absolutely no chance at all and the judge will probably censure you for even trying. No, Trump likes absolutely mule-headed defiance of reality with no concession at all to what everyone can plainly see.
A trick he was taught by Roy Cohn.Someone tell DOnnie that Nuisance Suites don't work when the POTUS tries them....
A Nuisance suite is where you sue knowing you don't stand much of a chance of winning, but hoping that other side will make a deal rather then run up the legal costs of fighting it. Trump in his business days was notorious for filing these.
Is it just me, or does that picture hurt trump more than help him?(Picture: "Two very different Americas"... with Trump/Melania wearing tuxedo/designer gown, and Mohamed el Sayed in casual clothes at what looks like a generic restaurant)

Deal or not, a nuisance suit can be ruinous and just plain ugly and unpleasant, and Trump has made it plain that his intention is to make people's lives miserable and hellish. Because for the president this stuff is free, and there seems to be no downside to losing, no precedent that prevents a losing case from simply being repeated, it's worth doing even with no chance at all of winning and no likelihood of a deal.Someone tell DOnnie that Nuisance Suites don't work when the POTUS tries them....

The financial times made the same point about this being the reason for the US coming to the aid of the Yen. Either the yen would fall making Japanese exports cheaper and US exports more expensive. Or Japan would sell US bonds putting up interest rates. The US currently pays about $1 trillion in interest (about 20% of the federal budget), predicted to increase every year, Even for the US this is becoming unsustainable. The real reason why Trump and Bessent are scared of higher interest rates:

How Scott Bessent used financial engineering to fund the $2 trillion deficit while leaving it untouched | Fortune
The alarm is coming from inside the house. The Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee says the borrowing math no longer adds up.fortune.com
TL: DR: this administration decided to do all deficit financing through the shortest, lowest interest rate bonds that run just for a year, instead of staggering it in short, medium and long-term bonds.
The result is that the money for current deficit plus the next one will have to raised at the same, and probably at higher cost.
Es was masculine / neuter singular genitive in anglo saxon / old english, nominative pleural es. Cf latin first person singular genitive puellae, romani is the same as nominative pleural puellae, romani.I speak a few languages. In none of them is S both the plural and possessive. Even the Scandinavian ones English is related to. Some sort of accidental outcome?
Off topic, but I wonder if you choose that phrase because it was in the first Latin paragraph you were taught. It was in the opening paragraph of Ecce Romani. I don't remember much more than that, but somehow that is stuck in my head.puellae, romani
Jeanine Pirro to a reporter about David Hearn:
Oh, he damaged it!!!
He damaged the pool!!!
He damaged this pool!!!
Trump and the DOJ & Buc-ee’s: 8/9/26 (Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on YouTube, Aug 10, 2026 – 40 min.)
John Oliver discusses how the Department of Justice has changed since Trump took office for his second term, how the popular gas station chain Buc-ee’s hasn’t stopped suing small businesses, and why Alvin and the Chipmunks might want to consider filing a suit of their own.
I thought it was AI to start with (since it appears to be set in the 1920s), but turns out it's a posed photo by David Yarrow, who is well-known for his wildlife and celebrity shoots (sometimes both together). (I saw him speak at a camera show a few years back.)I'm sure this will resonate with struggling Americans

Oh, Nuisance suits have been around forever...a long time before Cohn, and it not like Cohn invented them.A trick he was taught by Roy Cohn.
Except Trump overdid it. A loy of them are thrown out of court very quickly.Deal or not, a nuisance suit can be ruinous and just plain ugly and unpleasant, and Trump has made it plain that his intention is to make people's lives miserable and hellish. Because for the president this stuff is free, and there seems to be no downside to losing, no precedent that prevents a losing case from simply being repeated, it's worth doing even with no chance at all of winning and no likelihood of a deal.
Is there all that much of a difference between the two ?I thought it was AI to start with (since it appears to be set in the 1920s), but turns out it's a posed photo by David Yarrow, who is well-known for his wildlife and celebrity shoots (sometimes both together).
Just read about Trump's Patriot Games. God, it's the Hunger Games for real.
Never said Cohn invented them. Nor that Donny was the first Trump for whom he advocated using them. Just that Cohn perfected the art of exploiting the angles between the actual wording of the law and true "spirit of the law" as to how it was supposed and expected to be applied. In short, he got as close to cheating as he could legally get away with. Donny thinks he can do the same.Oh, Nuisance suits have been around forever...a long time before Cohn, and it not like Cohn invented them.

Well beside all the obvious concerns with security and protests there's the fact that Trump will insist on being involved at every stage, up to and including handing over the trophy, oh and he will bitch and whine if an American player attracts a penalty.Google AI explains this Trumpian brain fart.
