I have to question his ablities to do those. He might try, but I think it is hard for hm to suceed. I hope you are joking about his bringing down gas to one dollar a gallon; that is not going to happen and I don't think he can impact gas prices much.
And from the polls, it is going to very hard to stop the blue wave, at least in the House.
Trump has lost it. He is doing lots of stupid things he wuld not have done a few years ago.
And cancelling the election is just plain impossible. Open violastion of a basic clause of the COnstituion. evne the court would rule against him.

I agree with you and yes, the $1 gas is hyperbole, it just represents some crazy scheme that allows Trump to claim he is the savior of the American people...who knows what that will entail but I suspect he will try or say something stupid cause he always does.

He can't "cancel" the mid-terms—they're run by the individual states.

He can attempt to refuse to accept the results, but the machinery for swearing in the new senators and representatives will go ahead. Short of an extraordinary police action or military intervention, the new Congress will be seated and can govern.

By 'cancel' I don't mean suspend in a legal sense, by Executive Order or whatever. I fully confess to being paranoid about it, but I am convinced trump would gladly start bombing cities or people if he felt it could create a big enough emergency to disrupt things.

Just got the paperwork for the voting by mail. Which refutes all of Trump's claims. I have to send in a request, with my DL info etc. So not just anyone at my address can vote. They have seen me in person, as the driver's license needs a vision test every time. Dead grandpa might vote one time before they catch on. If I were moving here this year, I would need a passport to register the first time. Locals get away with a state birth certificate and picture ID.
