He doesn't necessarily need the full support of the Army. Groups of a few officers and rogue units have pulled off successful coups.
Just add them to the nine million Fauci has already killed.Perfect opportunity for China to steal some of our global reputation

Cuts to anti-AIDS aid take a toll in Africa
In its frenzy to slash foreign aid, the State Department cut spending on PEPFAR last year by 30 percent. Restrictions on spending were added, so no U.S. grants can go to organizations that provide or promote abortions, offer gender transition care or advocate diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. Pregnant and breastfeeding women are given access to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) drugs, but not other high risk groups such as sex workers, gay men and intravenous drug users.
This has taken a toll. A survey released Tuesday by Amfar, the Foundation for AIDS Research, found that more than 1,700 HIV/AIDS service sites have closed. A second study claimed that more than 77,000 fewer children with HIV in 21 countries received needed treatment. A separate analysis in the journal Nature Health found a drop of more than 1.9 million people across 55 countries receiving site-level antiretroviral treatment, a 10.2 percent reduction.
Without U.S. funding, over 1 million additional infections are possible in South Africa over the next 20 years.
South Africa has been very specifically targeted because of its racist 'anti-white' policies.Perfect opportunity for China to steal some of our global reputation

Yes and those political restriction are appalling. They're hunting down DEI in every nook and cranny all over the world.South Africa has been very specifically targeted because of its racist 'anti-white' policies.
Define collapse. Will the Trump regime collapse after the election, or limp to the end? We might get a ballroom. And bunker.
I would like to beleive you but I have totally lost faith in the GOP to do the right thing.I think Trump will become so unpopular even within his party that they can get the votes. And I think the charges (and there's a myriad Dems could choose from) will be so damning and conclusive that there could be no other verdict. I think 2/3 might be close but not entirely unreachable.
“I’ll take Voices In My Head for $200.”I would like to beleive you but I have totally lost faith in the GOP to do the right thing.
On the other hand, I have seem some pure nonsense here, like Trump staging a Military coup. I don't think the Military would go along with him; it is not like he is really popular, and most of them take their oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constutuion very seriouly.
Having served in the US Army, I really dislike the whole "all soliderd are basically fascist" mentality a couple people here have.
I have to question his ablities to do those. He might try, but I think it is hard for hm to suceed. I hope you are joking about his bringing down gas to one dollar a gallon; that is not going to happen and I don't think he can impact gas prices much.I think it all comes down to the midterms. Trump clearly is gonna either 1) attempt to cancel them or 2) attempt to fix them. He has a better chance at (2) so that will involve lots of voter suppression moves, intimidation, and probably some weird October surprise move where he gets gas down to $1 a gallon a week before the election.
However, if he fails and the inevitable blue tsunami takes hold, I think that will be the end of the cult. Self preservation supersedes loyalty here.
The GOP will suddenly 'see the light' and declare him mentally unfit. Probably JD will take the lead since he has th most to gain from conviction.
He can't "cancel" the mid-terms—they're run by the individual states.I think it all comes down to the midterms. Trump clearly is gonna either 1) attempt to cancel them or 2) attempt to fix them.
I see that is the usual response to anybody pointing out silly opinions on the left.“I’ll take Voices In My Head for $200.”
Not to mention the midterm elections are mandated in the Constitution, as far as the House elections go.He can't "cancel" the mid-terms—they're run by the individual states.
He can attempt to refuse to accept the results, but the machinery for swearing in the new senators and representatives will go ahead. Short of an extraordinary police action or military intervention, the new Congress will be seated and can govern.
There was a discussion awhile back how Trump can delay seating a Democratic Congress my having Mike Johnson act as a firewall and put off the swearing in. I doubt it would work for that long though. He can't "cancel" the mid-terms—they're run by the individual states.

“Silly opinions” of your own imagination.I see that is the usual response to anybody pointing out silly opinions on the left.
His speech writers also aren't funny, and his improvisations only make it worse. He just isn't funny.
Intentionally anyway.
Devastating poll shows Trump's base crumbling (MS NOW on YouTube, July 30, 2026 – 8:13 min.)
White voters without a college education have been a core component of Donald Trump's base and key to putting him in the White House. But a new poll from CNN shows that group now disapproves of Trump more than approves by 8 percentage points. One insight in the poll is that Americans by a wide margin think Trump is focused on the wrong priorities.
Didn't it occur to you that the people who are loyal to anything other than Trump and his MAGA administration are the ones who are being discharged or not promoted by Hegseth?... I have seem some pure nonsense here, like Trump staging a Military coup. China Now Outranks the United States in Global Favorability. What happened? (Council of Foreign Relations, July 27, 2026)I find it amusing that magats back Trump's claim that the U.S. is now respected worldwide because of him, somehow, when the opposite is surely the case.
Why more countries are favouring China over the US - Asia Specific podcast (BBC World Service, July 25, 2026)
For the first time in 20 years, a major global survey conducted between February and May of 2026 has found that more countries favour China over the US.
It's not hard to see why. Trump nixed USAID and China swooped in to plug those gaps and make new friends, while we made enemies and started wars.China Now Outranks the United States in Global Favorability. What happened? (Council of Foreign Relations, July 27, 2026)
