I'm guessing that the "easing oil prices ahead of elections" is the actual driving motive behind the deal, and not anything to do with having reached an understanding on the issues that led to starting the war. But then, there will probably be plenty of MAGA-types who will rush to pat him on the back (and vote for his party) because he "scores" a peace deal which wouldn't be necessary without the war he started which needs one, and with an outcome- easing oil prices- which also wouldn't be necessary without the war that caused the increased prices, and which has nothing to do with his putative reason for starting it.

Republicanism is mostly a Sunken-Cost-Fallacy, with Trump being the archetype to end all archetypes.

The End of America is much easier for them to contemplate than the possibility that they might have been wrong all along and the people they dislike right.

That doesn't make sense. It had nothing to do with America. It was the Royal African Company that was granted the monopoly on trade with the American colonies.
East India Company was restricted by it's Royal Charter to the Indian subcontinent.

"Import[ing] people from Third World Countries" isn't (sadly) the only way to make ours into a third-world country, as Trump and some of his enablers and hangers-on seem determined to demonstrate. Fortunately, there is something that can be done about that, though it might be getting a little late for it.
