No, I never try
"to pretend that there's no meaningful difference between the Democrats and Republicans," but I always object when attempts are made to make it seem as if Democrats are better than they actually are (i.e. not very good), e.g. in the question of
global warming.
By willfully ignoring and refusing to address a heck of a lot to make your points as you pretended that there was no real difference.
You are the one who prefers to pretend that the Biden-Harris climate policy was better than it actually was.
It was pretty ◊◊◊◊◊◊! It sucked! The examples I posted showed that it did.
You were the one refusing to address the actual points being made and repeatedly screaming about things that weren't in dispute in that discussion. I certainly wasn't impressed. You never did really manage to address the point that Democrats working to speed the transition to renewables is far preferable to Trump and the Republicans working to slow the transition, either way.
Aridas, the next time you have anything to complain about "given my posting history," bring the receipts! Or STFU.
As it is, what you're doing is despicable.
As unreasonable as ever. To be clear, neither of the things that you just quoted actually disputes what I said, yet again. The Biden Administration was pointedly not engaging in political interference with the decisions of the DoJ and judicial system. Biden's DoJ had little ability to release them so long as they followed the rules.
Could a Judge have had them released? Potentially so, though doing so during Ghislaine's trial would risk causing procedural issues that could have let Ghislaine walk free, which would have made it an unusual move. That's a judge's call, though, and not the Democrats' call. Could Congress have voted to order them released sooner? Potentially so, much as that would have caused similar issues and more. Going further, though, Republicans were in control of Congress for the relevant period, either way, and being quite... MAGA and bending over backwards to please and support Trump, so that's yet another point against whining about the Democrats in Congress not releasing them. Should Democrats have pushed harder? That's an easy argument to make, especially when removed from context. It could well even be correct, but it's also not the counter argument that you seem to think that it is.
