Every missile and interceptors spend reduces the credible threat the US can pose in any future scenario.
It will take 7 years to rebuild the number of cruise missiles used up in just the last month.

Hypothetically, sure. But realistically, we've been moving away from cruise missiles anyway, in favor of newer and more advanced options. It would take us years to replace an A10 Warthog too... but they're already planned to be discontinued and replaced with other, newer planes.

Some of us are old enough to remember just how much the Iranian people dislike Americans.

Hard to say about Iranians. I had an online friend from Iran, we met on a Van Halen board back in 2002. He was sports writer, traveled with the national football (soccer) team, and other things. Every Sunday he and a bunch of friends would put on NFL jerseys and play flag-football. He would patiently explain that most Iranians didn't hate Americans, but lived under the boot of the IRG, and the Mullahs. Whenever there was a demonstration condemning the US, he'd point out the people standing in doorways watching the "Angry Crowd", and point out the demonstration was made up of government employees. He went silent in 2007, never heard from him again.

Then again, he was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan, so maybe he was a terrorist after all.

I find this credible in light of Trump promising something Big, but it might take months or years for us to learn everything there is to know about this operation.
The uncharacteristic amount of information being released in praise of the rescue is very typical of cover-up big oversupply of misleading information.
