Trump's Second Term

Way too little, way too late. America knew what he was like, before they elected him the first time.
You have an extremely naive and simplistic view. He and his party control both Houses of Congress, the DOJ, the military, the FBI, etc. Should we storm Mar-a-Lago in an armed coup attempt? Assassinate him? Start a civil war? Making sweeping generalizations is easy but what you suggest is not only implausible, it's silly..

We have elections in November and choose to follow the rule of law by voting. Most indications are that the Dems will take back the House.

ETA: I agree that idiots elected Trump and a MAGA Congress. They should have known better. But people can be idiots. HOWEVER, place the blame and your hate where it belongs and don't be over simplistic by hating the entire country.

Italian organized crime: RICO those mother ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊.

Somali organized crime: Shut up, you racist.
No, spouting off about non-existent Somali organized crime: shut up you racist. And before you try more handwaving its on Miller to provide a shred of evidence it exists, and no the ramblings of Donald Trump don't count.

RFK Jr.: I think if my father and uncle were around today, they would be making the same kinds of choices that President Trump is making—on Iran, on Ukraine, and on trying to lift up the middle class.

I grew up in a Democratic Party where Democrats owned 30% of the wealth and Republicans owned 70%. Today, it’s exactly the inverse

I think we might want a teeny bit of fact checking on that...

"America" did not vote for Trump, even if a majority of Americans did. One of the unfortunate effects of the accession of evil corrupt and violent leaders is that it is very hard to get rid of them without doing the very things we hate them for. l am appalled by the results of the last election, but I am not quite ready for a revolution yet.

Not a cult

Also liar.

RFK JR: Trump has encyclopedic molecular knowledge across a wide range of very eclectic interests—Broadway shows, golf…

One time, Trump grabbed a placemat, turned it over, took a Sharpie, and drew a perfect map of the Middle East. Then he marked the troop strength of every country along each border on that map..

JFC, there is just no ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ end to the ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ and nonsense that spews from the mouths of these liars!

Oh, and, my sig.

Honestly, even if shown, it wouldn't be wrong to invoke racism in this situation. The whole reason that they're making a huge deal about the "Somali" bit is as an attempted appeal to and way to stoke racism and xenophobia and use that as justification to do harm, after all.

Either way, Trump and co seem to still be trying to make a huge deal out of the Feeding Our Future case, specifically because many of those involved were Somali. That was a serious crime, yes, and one that involved hundreds of millions of dollars in fraud. It may well have been the largest single instance of COVID relief fraud, even, if Merrick Garland was to be believed when the Biden Administration was working on the case. It's still a drop in the bucket compared to the COVID relief fraud that Republicans actively encouraged and enabled by way of how Republicans handled those PPP loans (before getting to all the rest).

It's also nowhere close to the mafia image that's been invoked, really. A bunch of things that Trump and the Republican Party have done make them a far, far better match when it comes to that, either way.

Also of note in relation to the Feeding Our Future case, though -

Citing the Feeding Our Future case, Trump's administration launched an immigration operation in Minnesota in late 2025 called Operation Metro Surge.
Despite thousands of arrests in the operation, only 23 were Somali, and none had ties to Feeding our Future or other fraud under investigation. Following the killing of Renée Good by a federal agent in January 2026, amidst Operation Metro Surge, the prosecution of Feeding Our Future faced setbacks due to the resignation of six federal prosecutors, including Thompson. Law professor Mark Osler described the resignations as a "very big blow" to the case. Another eight prosecutors in the office departed shortly thereafter, limiting "the number and complexity of new cases" that the office could prosecute.

Yeah. The Trump Administration's general mishandling has actually undermined the prosecution of that and other fraud, despite all the hype.

I thought he didn't draw? I definitely remember him saying he doesn't draw.

...snip...
It is nothing to do with that or any other reason that's trying to make sense of something that is nothing more than an attack on Ilhan Omar for daring to live the American Dream® which is reserved for white people, co-called Christians and preferable men. What her husband is doing by letting her have a successful career is scandalous, he's definitely a Beta!!

Oh yeah, it would be no different than saying Italian-Americans are all thieves and murderers because the Mafia exists, a stereotype that absolutely did embed itself in US culture for decades.
