Same here. I didn't log in yesterday and what I wanted to comment on is pages ago. Still....Trump's comment on Truth Social about Robert Mueller, "Good. I'm glad he's dead," just makes my skin crawl. It's one thing to think it but it's an entirely different matter for a POTUS to say so on his public page. He's such a vile, loathsome, trashy, POS. When you think he can't go any lower in embarrassing this country, he does.

Also, Trump is celebrating Mueller's end as if Mueller harmed him not because Mueller actually harmed or wronged him - Mueller even bent over backwards to accommodate him - but because he's trying to delegitimize the rule of law. That's horrendously wrong. On the other hand, celebrations of Trump's demise will pretty much all be because of the actual harm and evil that Trump has wrought. That's the main difference between why Trump and MAGA celebrating Mueller's death is so wrong and why celebration of Trump's demise is not.

100% agree with one exception: Trump is not "trying to delegitimize the rule of law"; he already has delegitimized the rule of law.

I have to say, James Wood's career seems to have really dropped off since he went full MAGAchud.

I don't know if he was planning on semi-retiring, but since 2016 he has only had a small handful of roles, and most of them seem to be voice roles only. (The only 'big' movie he has been associated with in that time is Oppenhieimer, but he just has a producer credit on that.)

Yes, but it is what is being reported (sarcastically) in the thread. Just as everything bad is the fault of the previous incumbent in the US, everything bad in the UK is the fault of the current incumbent - especially geopolitical events, although I haven't seen him blamed for the conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan... Yet.

Starmer seems to have an amazing amount of influence that he always uses incompetently. For example the price of fuel has started rising and that has definitely been placed at his door. I also understand that the Royal Navy hasn't ordered, built, and commissioned multiple frigates and destroyers since he took office.
