Split Thread BBC news reporting

Seems pretty obvious to me that the standard expected for a source on this forum is that it must be sufficiently beholden to Left Wing Ideology. If its not, then it is summarily dismissed without even looking, and the closed-minded ideologues won't even engage in debate. That is not skepticism, that is tribalism.

I am finding less and less reasons to keep bothering making any contributions to a forum that has clearly become a cult-like echo chamber, and more and more reasons to just point, mock and laugh.

You don't like people pointing out the dubious nature of your "sources" do you?

Good bye.

Even in the section quoted above Pearson is wrong about several things: the Beeb did report the record number of folk crossing in small boats; they have reported on the Darlington case; figures from several different sources have been cited for casualties in Gaza; use of "Maoist" is highly unlikely to be accurate; describing the Beeb as "Corbyn-ite" is waaaaay off the mark.

Pearson's "work" in our meejah is not exactly unknown to many of us...

Well she has a history of lying, the COVID numbers, the police interview et cetera. Not that this will bother @smartcooky and people like him.

It's really strange; Swedish public broadcasting is under attack as well. Our far right has the same criticisms, often similarly worded, as those directed at the BBC. Funny how that works.
The same thing in Denmark. 'Røde lejesvende' — red mercenaries — is the standard description of journalists at the national public broadcasting organisation. And it has been so for the past 40 years, despite a succession of directors who have promised to root out the leftist bias.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh!

A semi-flounce!

Disciplined for telling the truth at the BBC – Cath Leng
Cath Leng is a 25 year veteran former BBC journalist who has spoken out amidst the BBC bias scandal. Disciplined for raising serious concerns about lack of impartiality on the reporting of transgender stories and censorship of gender critical perspectives, Leng reveals how she was forced out of the BBC for simply doing her job. Speaking to External Affairs Officer Connie Shaw, they explore why balanced and impartial broadcasting is essential for public discourse and debate.

NOTE: This post may contain themes that refer to transgender ideology, but they are incidental to the subject (bias allegations at the BBC) so the post belongs here and not in The Thread Where Intellectual Cowards Fear to Tread.
This post is for the benefit of the ever decreasing numbers of open-minded skeptics among us. Our resident closed-minded lefties needn't bother watching since they will all have per-emptively concluded (without evidence and without watching) that these two women are "far-right tranny-bashing bigoted thugs".

Enjoy if you can find the the courage to watch.

Have you considered that this is a ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ terrible way to give anyone the impression that you're likely to be offering a level-headed argument?

Yes, it has, but would not doing so make any difference to the responses? Of course it won't. All I am doing is being up front with my opinions!

This is how I will continue to post in this type of thread from here on, and if some people don't like it, they can go pound sand. I'm done trying to debate people who refuse to debate honestly and with integrity, resorting only to mockery and dismissiveness. From now on, I'm getting in with the mockery first!

There's always the ignore list if they don't like it.

Red Flag #1 is the piece is pushed by Toby Young's "Free Speech Union", which he uses to push his agendas, including pro-business (the COVID lockdown was bad because it cost money), pro-Eugenics and of course to justify his transphobia, misogyny and homophobia.

Red Flag #2 is Leng's inability to provide evidence for her assertions of bias and (sigh) "gatekeeping".

Red Flag #3 is simply reality. The BBC has given platforms to transphobic scum like Wolstencroft and Linehan.

Given the lack of factual supporting evidence Leng's crap really shoul be dumped in the Transphobe Containment Thread.

See @Lithrael ? THIS^ is the type of bull-◊◊◊◊ I'm talking about.

NO attempt to understand.
NO honest debate
NO discussion
Just prejudgement and character assassination of the people

Just as I expected, from one of the usual far-left suspects - dismissal without effort.

In your completely un-evidenced, personal opinion.

The fact that people condemn the message based solely on what they personally think of the messenger, tells me everything I need to know about how closed-minded they are. This is a trait that is rife on the left.

People can be afraid of truth... and truth is truth, no matter who speaks it, or what are their politics.
