Trump's Second Term

23 trillion coming in!
Biden would have lost trillions!
50%....something.
Speech to McDonalds bosses.
It's not helpful for selling Happy Meals

Also love how he always has people say sir, even when just going 'nyha. Hhhhuh.' as they prepare french fries (did he have tears in their eyes, too?).

I guess if someone startles in front of him they politely say sir before letting out that started yelp.

He made the French Fries

Trump: "They had the line. The people had no idea. So I made the french fries. The guy was really good. He had a great wrist. He's going like, 'Sir -- nyha. Hhhhuh.' It was not that easy but I got it sort of finally. Not the greatest. But pouring it in."

Not even tangentially impinging on reality.

Also, this is an inadvertent admission he never learned and can't even do a job a 15yo can do.

One would think a savvy member of the press might recognize an opportunity here in calling out this administration's gaslighting. It might be problematic in the short term as Trump and Leavitt et al would bark and spit and piss and moan, but in the long term they might make a name for themselves in the new media as a podcaster or some such. Surely, this current state of affairs can't last and some semblance of normalcy will emerge . . . or possibly not.
Actually, in the car tonight for the first time ever I heard a public radio spokesperson use the actual word "lie." I think it was a program put on by the NY Times. In the half hour or so I heard it, the word was used, I think. Wow. There's a little ray of hope yet!

Of course the bombshell from the "Bubba" email is that Bannon knows some of the kompromat that Putin has on Trump. Confirming both the links between Bannon and Putin, and that Putin has quite compromising photos of Trump.

I agree with the who, but not the why. The media is no longer part of the information economy, it's part of the attention economy. Trump generates engagement, and close races generate engagement. I think the media deliberately played down Trump's incompetency and mental failings while highlighting Democrat failings to engineer a close race not expecting to actually hand him a victory but to keep the race 'interesting'. The fact that they stuffed it up once, then did it again twice more shows just how dangerous it can be when the media are dedicated to a cause other than propagating the facts.
The owners of major media outlets (including soi-disant left wing ones like the NYT and the WP) universally wanted a TACO presidency, he was their made man after all.

If you don't know what he's on about you shouldn't have a Macdonald's Franchise.

Trump: "They had restrictions on water. It comes down from heaven, right? So you want to wash your hands, or like me, you want to wash your hair. I lather up. And there's no water. I won't mention the third item in the bathroom because I always get criticized. If you don't know what I'm talking about then you shouldn't be owning a McDonald's franchise."

He says it's unbelievable

Trump: It's an amazing story. They hit and then they said skedaddle, the word skedaddle. And that plane went like this, you know, when it drops a bomb, it goes down very steeply because that gives it a better angle. The very, very heavy bombs. And they go boom. And as soon as those things, the one pilot, the first one said skedaddle. I mean, it's just so unbelievable

Does he think dive bombing is still a thing?

Is the navy using the Helldiver again?
Why wouldn't he? I'm sure he'll have seen war movies. He's not fastest learner, and to be honest, I suspect no military officers who'd briefed previous presidents have had to explain that it's been obsolete for decades.
