Merged Charlie Kirk shot at Utah Valley University event. / Charlie Kirk Shot And Killed

If this order is given any effect, yes. There is no federal murder statute, but the U.S. President has zero authority to bind state courts to a particular sentence or to preclude clemency for state offenses. On any federal charge, the President has zero authority to mandate a sentence upon conviction. He can decline to pardon anyone convicted of a federal offense, but he cannot bar any future President from doing so.

That said, there should be no clemency. The person who shot Kirk is guilty of first degree murder and should be punished accordingly.

None of that will stop the Trump team doing whatever the ◊◊◊◊ they want.

Fully agree.

Oh and ditto for whoever ordered the killing of 11 innocent people in a boat on the high seas.

I'm being blamed for Kirk's death on another forum I post on. WTF, right?

No. I post negative things about Trump and other MAGA on MovieChat.org . I never had a kind word for Kirk. I am wishing Trump a long life so he can do some prison time. I'm disappointed that anyone was taking shots at Trump also.

Eh, Trump is one thing. (And agreed about prison ftr). But think about just HOW low someone's self-esteem would have to be to waste their time and energy shooting Charlie Kirk. Presuming, of course, it was intentional.

Of course at this point we do not know if this was a case of a 'left wing' activist deciding to fight back by shooting a well-known Conservative, or whether the shooter had some other non-political motive.
Remember, the Trumps "attempted assassin/shooter" actually had republican ties. It would not be surprising if the shooter was another right-winger doing things for non-political motives.... fame, mental illness, etc.
(Not that I would expect most MAGAchud to actually listen to evidence.)
I wasn't aware of him before this, and I've since seen some commentators saying he was a more reasonable Trump supporter. On the other hand, he also posted this.
In this context, "a more reasonable Trump supporter" appears to be somebody who followed Trump through thick and thin. For instance, when Trump told him that the Epstein files were a Democratic hoax and thus no longer interesting, Kirk obeyed.
It should be noted that Kirk recently did an about-face on the Epstein files.
Trump Bullies MAGA Influencer to Fall in Line on Epstein
We currently have no idea who the shooter is or what their motivations were, but there's a rabid mob of conspiracy theory nuts out there right now pretty pissed off about how the Epstein case is being handled.

True, we don't know who did it or what the motive was, but "how the Epstein case is being handled" is not an unlikely motive.
When Trump ally Charlie Kirk spread misinformation about Covid vaccine, even urged release of Epstein files (EconomicTimes, Sep 11, 2025)
In July, Kirk urged the release of files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and criticized the White House's handling of the matter. However, he later softened his position, stating that he trusted the administration and preferred to move past the controversy.
By the way, his vaccine lies may have killed more people than anything else he said.
