I don't give a damn about how much anyone can bench, let alone a politician. I can still admit, its funny that he tried and failed. Not at all meaningful, I suppose if I had two candidates that I agreed with exactly the same amount. The trying to bench more than you could in public would sway me towards the other one who did not make such foolish mistake. Otherwise, I'll chuckle an move on.
I really hope we can move on because that is all that this story is. You like Mamdami or are ambivalent to him, it doesn't matter. You don't like him or are ambivalent, it's funny. If you don't like him, well you can annoy his supporters with it but it's not going to win an election.
In case anyone is curious, I'd be hard pressed to vote for him, but this has no impact on that. Honestly, in NY, if I had to vote. Cuomo, Addams, or Mamdami, Likely Mamdami. I think he's mostly wrong but he's not obviously corrupt.
