You might not know, not being from the US or studying it's political process in depth but you pass zoning legislation by lifting. The side of the argument that lifts the most wins and they get to change zoning codes that way.

I don't give a damn about how much anyone can bench, let alone a politician. I can still admit, its funny that he tried and failed. Not at all meaningful, I suppose if I had two candidates that I agreed with exactly the same amount. The trying to bench more than you could in public would sway me towards the other one who did not make such foolish mistake. Otherwise, I'll chuckle an move on.

I really hope we can move on because that is all that this story is. You like Mamdami or are ambivalent to him, it doesn't matter. You don't like him or are ambivalent, it's funny. If you don't like him, well you can annoy his supporters with it but it's not going to win an election.

In case anyone is curious, I'd be hard pressed to vote for him, but this has no impact on that. Honestly, in NY, if I had to vote. Cuomo, Addams, or Mamdami, Likely Mamdami. I think he's mostly wrong but he's not obviously corrupt.

Choosing a leader? The candidates battle head-to-head. The winner is accepted as being the best leader.
Disagreement over a political policy? The opposing sides battle head-to-head and the winner is declared to have the correct view.
Trade disagreement? The two sides battle head-to-head and the winner gets the better deal.
 
It seems Adams has rejected Trump's overtures. From his press conference today: "Andrew Cuomo is a snake and a liar. I am the only one who can beat Mamdani."

It's been a talking point coming from right-wing "thinkers" like Dennis Prager for a little while now. According to him, its the most important virtue for an American to have. Gratitude for what? For white Jesus giving us rich white men to do so many great things for us.

It also seems to infantilize the person you are speaking to/about.
 
Sliwa would at least team up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to finally take down the Foot Clan.
