I would end up voting for Mamdami, but holding my nose and hoping that reality will force him to modify his programs.I don't give a damn about how much anyone can bench, let alone a politician. I can still admit, its funny that he tried and failed. Not at all meaningful, I suppose if I had two candidates that I agreed with exactly the same amount. The trying to bench more than you could in public would sway me towards the other one who did not make such foolish mistake. Otherwise, I'll chuckle an move on.
I really hope we can move on because that is all that this story is. You like Mamdami or are ambivalent to him, it doesn't matter. You don't like him or are ambivalent, it's funny. If you don't like him, well you can annoy his supporters with it but it's not going to win an election.
In case anyone is curious, I'd be hard pressed to vote for him, but this has no impact on that. Honestly, in NY, if I had to vote. Cuomo, Addams, or Mamdami, Likely Mamdami. I think he's mostly wrong but he's not obviously corrupt.
Problem I have with him is where the hell is all the money to pay for his programs is going to come from. What I have is his proposed tax hikes on the wealthy in NYC will not come close to covering the costs. If elected, he is going to get mugged by reality.
But what is going on in NYC is more proof of something I have suspected for along time..the best and the brightest in the USA no longer want to go into politics and who can blame them? That this crowd is the best the biggest city in the USA can come up with proves that.
As for Cuomo, the man is so corrupt he is the Boss Tweed for the 21st Century.
