Trump's Second Term

I know it’s been asked before, but are Trump’s idiotic comments, like about Putin’s commentary on fair elections just him trolling or is he just a moron?
I've long since given up on trying to make sense of his ramblings. The only thing predictable about him is that he is unpredictable. I'm sure his handlers rule the show 100% now, with him signing what he's asked to sign, throwing tantrums, and playing the role of confused figurehead for meetings and photo-ops.

Trump: Look at California with that horrible governor they have. One of the worst governors in history. He is incompetent, he doesn't know what he is doing. Vladimir Putin, smart guy, said you can't have an honest election with mail-in voting.

This is funny because the GOP (PA) has been plastering youtube with ads about how well they used mail-in ballots to win PA for Trump and need to do it again for the upcoming state supreme court elections.

Don't quite get this. These were agreements for them to provide legal services to Trump, for Trump. When he leaves office if he does so before he dies they are to fund with all the lawsuits he will launch and to defend him against the many lawsuits he will be defending. (Plus criminal cases.)

"Even though President Donald Trump's administration secured promises from some of the nation's biggest law firms to contribute more than $1 billion worth of pro bono work to further the administration's goals,"

Doesn't really sounds like Donny's personal use thing to me.

Marvellous things with Putin, but the Russia Hoax and stolen election and a great relationship with Putin and Russia hoax, and stolen election and ....

Brain of cheese.

Hannity: "You said before the interview that in two minutes you would know...What vibe did you get in two minutes?"

Trump: "You know, I always had a great relationship with President Putin. And we would have done great things together in terms of, you know. Their land is incredible. The rare earth, the oil gas — it's incredible. It is the largest piece of land in the world as a nation by far. I think they have 11 timezones if you can believe it, that's big stuff. But we would have done a lot of great things we had the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax which stopped us from doing that. We would have done so great. But we have the greatest — one of the great hoaxes. I mean, there were others like the election itself and as you know, as you covered better than anyone. But it was a rigged election and a horrible thing that took place in 2020. But we would have had a great relationship but we did amazingly well considering — you know, he would look and see what happened, he would think we're crazy with the made up Russia, Russia, Russia hoax. So we had something very important and we had a very good meeting today, but we'll see. I mean it's, you have to get a deal."

No. He was coherent but there is no indication he ever had a sense of humour or that he was intelligent and he was just as spiteful when he was younger.

Whenever he says something particularly stupid or offensive that produces public backlash, his minions insist he was "only joking", but I don't think that counts.

Something happened that we the public are not being made aware of. Trump was very low energy and as he said, he would go straight back to Washington if things went awry.

Peter Alexander: "What struck me was the looks on the faces of a lot of the American, delegation here. Caroline Leavitt, Steve Witkoff, who came into the room, then left quickly. Leavitt appeared to be a bit stressed out, anxious. Their eyes were wide, almost ashen at times."

Oh, just for the record, in 2020, Putin authorised mail-in and internet voting in Russia.

You think the administration's goals are distinct and separate to Trump?

Exactly what policy of his do you find so nauseating to you very delicate system?

The White House is already deleting various clips, such as Trump applauding the war criminal.

God, when will people get that once something goes out over the airwaves or on the Internet, it is there forever and taking it down is a useless act.
And the implication is the applauding Putin went over badly with the public.

USAF vet and well known IT security person Lesley Carhart

I lived long enough to see American troops roll out a red carpet for Putin on their knees. I’m definitely surviving out of spite as a veteran at this point.
(This isn’t hyperbole, military events are planned to the second and they knew exactly when and where there would be cameras.)
