He is a Muslim and lives in a village on the Akcay coast of north-west Turkiye. This area is strongly Muslim, including a Muslim university and hospital. Emre's problem is his mental state. He has delusions that his "research" is both scholarly and profound. I suspect he is tolerated in his village as the harmless local kook.

I do. We all learned this from previous interactions with Emre, on this forum. He was born and raised in Basra, to the north of Akcay. Basra was an old Muslim capital of Turkey. Eighteen months ago we were on holiday in Turkiye, and stayed in the Akcay area. It's very pretty, part of the beachside resort coast called the "Turkish Riviera". Emre's village, Zeytinli, is halfway up the mountains to the north from Akcay proper.

Here, the promise we made in the mother's womb before birth is being mentioned. So, when this promise was made, we were already created and had physically begun to live in a material sense. In short, this is not referring to spirits/ghosts, but to living physical organisms, to the body.
