Merged Due process in the US

hey, maybe they throw you in one of those prisons where everyone is covered in tattoos and there's 50 guys in a cell and everyone has a machete

There is not going to be 1 million deported in 2025. There would need to be 8-10 daily plane loads of just immigrants to some country. El Salvador is not going to take a million. There are only 6 million people there. I don't think Venezuela wants its people back.

Especially if each deportation requires due process.

There are about 300,000 federal court cases filed each year, with roughly 45,000 filed in district courts in the Fifth Circuit. I doubt the courts there would be able to easily absorb a twenty-fold increase in their case load.

Then again, I know the idea is ridiculous to begin with and that true or false don't mean anything anymore to the people who believe it, so.

I keep seeing what seems like a casual dismissal of how important the usual course of due process is. Oh, well, if you get shipped off to a foreign country, no big deal. If your goods were not confiscated by the masked anonymous people who grabbed your backpack, maybe you'll still have a phone or a couple of bucks, and maybe you can phone an embassy, and maybe you can convince someone there that you're in the wrong place, and maybe you didn't leave any kids at home wondering where their parent went, and maybe you won't lose your job, and maybe all that will go wrong is that you'll have wasted a few days, and we all do that....and hey, gotta break an egg or two for that delicious omelet and a side of freedom fries.

One of the things I (and my naturalized wife) like most about being an American is that we do not have to prove anything to anybody. We do not have to carry papers, no phone, none of that stuff. She fled a dictatorship once already. We can walk down the road with empty pockets and because this is America nobody can come around and arrest us for no reason or demand our papers or....oh wait. That was yesterday. Those days are over. And I do have an opinion about that!

So that's one, assuming the facts are as you imply.

Where can I find the facts you're referring to?
As noted, I'm rather unmotivated here. It strains credibility that you completely missed this. I'll be a little polite, still, though and give examples for this person.

Maybe it was a mistake.

I feel like calling a false claim a "mistake" when anyone above a a third-grade reading level could have easily determined it was false in about five seconds would be insulting to the intelligence of the person making the false claim. Perhaps if said person had the integrity to admit to their mistake and apologize, they would be granted a modicum of grace. But alas, here we are.

I can't remember now which forum but I posted a link to an incident in Vermont, in which (video as evidence) masked, hooded, armed gunmen claiming to be ICE agents hustled a green-card holder who was about to complete his citizenship process into unmarked cars, in handcuffs. I do not think I need to see three, or any other magic number, of such incidents to believe my own eyes.
