Well, let's see: The Trump-backed GOP funding bill that Congress passed yesterday includes an extra $500 million for food assistance for low-income families, extra funding for food aid for seniors, an extra $753 million for air traffic control systems, an increase in FAA funding, a large pay raise for military personnel and federal firefighters, a $6 billion increase in defense spending, a $13 billion decrease in non-defense spending, full funding of veterans’ health care services and benefits, and an extra $485 million to ensure enforcement of our immigration laws. And, last week, Trump approved an extra $4 billion in military aid for Israel.

The last time I checked, Hitler ardently opposed the establishment of a homeland for Jews in the Middle East. Recall that when the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem traveled to Nazi Germany to meet with Hitler in November 1941, he wanted Hitler's support for the “removal” of the proposed Jewish homeland in "Palestine"--and Hitler confirmed that the “struggle against a Jewish homeland in Palestine” would be part of the struggle against the Jews. Hitler added that the “goal at that time would be the annihilation of Jewry living in Arab space under the protection of British power.”

The diversity thing has hit all univeristies. it will be difficult to restore anything DEI after Trump, because it has hit pretty much all gov't supported universities. Omahs has the NE med school, so it is not just a minor branch of the main campus in Lincoln.
With state politicians passing rules, it will be even harder. They banned critical race theory already under Biden.

Been away for a while and too lazy to go back too far in this thread, but I note in another that the Gump administration has rescinded the law forbidding business with segregated facilities. Remember as we fall from the roof of the building to call out "OK so far" as we pass each story.
I presume by now someone has mentioned the call for deportation of citizens as not exactly encouraging.
I've been out of the country for a month, and am considering backing out of threads like this because it seems hardly worth bothering with. I think we're truly and royally ◊◊◊◊◊◊, the worst is yet to come, and that, not to put to fine a point on it, anyone who hasn't figured this out yet is a bloody fool at best. This barrel has no bottom.

If we're talking about the same news item, it applied primarily or maybe solely to federal contractors.
Won't change anything on the ground, since federal contractors are pretty down with DEI in general, but you have to wonder whom they are signaling to by rolling back civil right era regulations.
