Sorry, but a sereis of failures in a row simply is not good for Spacex as a business, particualry since there is now serious competion for it.
 
I would have loved to be the fly on the wall at that cabinent meeting yesterday when Musk and Rubio went after each other.
What is startling is that, from what I have read, Trump ending up suporting Rubio.
Musk apparently yelled at RUbio fo rnot firing most people at the State Department.
If Trump is cracking down on Musk, which seems apparenty, one reason might be Musk is out of control, and is only concerned about the numbers, and does not care if goverment functions or not. Trump, for all his craziness needs a government that does function in certain areas and Musk seesm to be trying to chainsaw those now.

Trumpy is only interested in his own popularity. Musk's actions are proving deeply unpopular for Trump, especially since Trump has no interest or clue what Musk is really doing. So this is very much a case of Trump telling Musk: "Stop making me look bad!"
 
Trump did end up defending Rubio, that he is working hard. But all in all Musk was in no way hindered. It was more like "that's enough for now."
 
I honestly think htat Donnie might be considering Musk as the fall guy when the economy goes under.

Lets set aside the hypocrisy of complaining about "boycotts of Tesla" when Trump himself has engaged in the same sort of procedure (such as boycotting the NFL because he did not like Colin Kaprinick...

Does he really think his "support" of Musk by offering to buy a Tesla will be of any help? After all, one of the reasons Tesla is going down the drain is because those most likely to purchase electric vehicles (relatively affluent moderate/liberal individuals) do not like Trump and are rejecting Tesla because of the Trump/Musk association. I don't think reminding people that Musk is part of Trump's Klan will be that beneficial, and the MAGAchud who vote republican won't want a "hippy electric vehicle", even if Trump endorses it.

tesla has lost almost a trillion in market cap and the stock continues to drop. naturally, this must be someone else’s fault and not him tampering with the treasury and sig hieling and so he rightfully tries to find someone to blame. he’s special, he’s saving the world and going to mars, he’s better than you. he’s entitled to that money and impregnating women who work for him.

I thought Trump and the MAGAs hated electric vehicles, and wanted to bring back more gasoline and diesel engine vehicles. So does he even know that Tesla is an EV company??

Well, past their first billion, no billionaire is ever happy. Their life only has a few good minutes a day they can enjoy their power over little people. Same with Trump. Why may still have a billion. Of real money, not funny money.
 
I can't understand the rhetoric whereby people excuse Elon Musk saying that as the world's richest man he clearly isn't interested in getting any more money, and he certainly doesn't need any more, so we should trust him to make good financial decisions on our behalf. This is a guy who has obsessively collected more of something than anyone else—far more than he could ever need or use. It's not like all that money just accidentally dropped into his lap.
