Everyone seems awfully confident that this solar energy producing farmer was not in that 40 something percent of his state that voted democratic. Those aren't really shoe-in odds to assume he's a Trumpanzee.
At least with white people, they are certainly not compassionate to those pet eating Hattians. How would she have known this? her 'news' outlet of choice is likely to have been Fox. She certainly wouldn't haveheard it there. Many other networks wouldn't have mentioned it.
I suspect that very large numbers of Trump voters are fairly moral, compassionate people.
True, there is no guarantee that the farmer in question voted for the republicans.Everyone seems awfully confident that this solar energy producing farmer was not in that 40 something percent of his state that voted democratic. Those aren't really shoe-in odds to assume he's a Trumpanzee.
Don't blame the voters - it doesn't work and usually is counterproductive
If we were politicians trying to get elected in their district, I would agree with your advice... you are better off trying to butter up the voters and avoid criticizing them for their past choices.Don't blame the voters - it doesn't work and usually is counterproductive
and how do you hold the voters accountable?Counterpoint: Adults have agency and personal responsibility is a thing. I’m going to go ahead and blame the voters.
and how do you hold the voters accountable?
you can't, so there is no point in berating them, demanding they do better next time. Either they will get it themselves or not, but your complaining will not help.
you have to do better work and make sure the voters know about it.
replace "you" with "one" if you feel singled out.I’m not sure who you think I am or what power I hold.
replace "you" with "one" if you feel singled out.
The point is that even if voters did something really stupid, nothing is to be gained by running your campaign on "I told you so".

I think I understand the confusion:
You are working under the same misapprehension as the Biden and Harris Team that Republicans or even Trumpers will ever vote for a Democrat in big numbers - it won't happen.
At best, they will stay home.
So if you want to tell them how stupid they were/are, be my guest, as it won't matter.
But if you are hoping to pick up voters for the Dems,
you better come up with a strategy beyond "vote as the DNC says or whatever happens will be your fault - again."
But that won't be the worst of it.well, you do you.
I think nothing will hurt them more than realizing that Trump betrayed them for personal profit.

In 2019, GOP Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida spoke at an elegant event celebrating the work of the Ronald Reagan-founded International Republican Institute, saying he was “so proud” to support the group and hailing fellow hawks Nikki Haley and Sen. John McCain in the audience.
But as secretary of state, Rubio did not spare the group from President Donald Trump’s freeze on foreign aid and dismantling of the U.S. Agency for International Development. Both threaten to sweep away the organization and the broader universe of U.S. democracy-promoting work.
With its funds frozen, the IRI has furloughed most of its staff and started shuttering its overseas offices. It’s a turn of events that has shocked IRI staff and called into question the future of bipartisan aid work.
“Once Rubio was appointed [secretary of state], a lot of people felt safe,” said one former IRI staffer, who, like others interviewed for this article, spoke on the condition of anonymity to avoid jeopardizing future job opportunities. “People thought the relationship was quite close and he’d be able to assist.”
But the group’s power-packed GOP board, which included Rubio until two months ago, was not enough to spare the IRI the U.S. DOGE Service’s chainsaw, raising questions about the influence of Republican hawks in an “America First” administration that is quickly reshaping alliances and the world order. (DOGE stands for Department of Government Efficiency and aims to reduce the size of the government.)
