Face, meet leopard. Leopard, meet face.

Yes, there is a lot of value in that. We mostly call it education. If you don't point out their stupidity and how it directly caused their face to be ate then they don't learn. When I see a Trump supporter on facebook, or somewhere else, lose their job, I make a point to comment and laugh at them. I'll do it every single time. I've been lucky enough to do it twice so far.

◊◊◊◊ every Trump supporter. They can ◊◊◊◊ themselves, and I hope every single one ends up in financial ruin. I will laugh and point and say "I told you so" the entire time with no remorse. They're the "◊◊◊◊ your feelings" party.
No, that's not education. It's punishment. You desire Schadenfreude, so you want them to feel bad for having done something you didn't like.
An attempt at education would be to point out to them the lies they fell for, the difference between the campaign promises and what is actually happening now, and the lack of benefit to them that measures like deportation of foreigners, persecution of transsexuals and firing of government workers bring.

MAGA voters are not all alike. Some of them now cherish that there'll be no more "Si ves algo, di algo" signs on the subway. And you appear to be on their side, laughing along with them with no remorse. Others now regret having voted for Trump because they aren't very good at English and may even risk being deported. Some of them are rich and can afford to pay for the best health assurance. Others will lose access to health care.
And instead of trying to persuade them to join the resistance, you prefer to laugh at them - just like the really bad-faith MAGA racists, sexists and classists do.

ETA: Notice what you may be able to accomplish if you don't laugh at them. (It's not out of the question to criticize them, which can actually be educational!):
Trump Fired Her But At Least She Got This MAGA Cape (Dark Brandon on YouTube, Mar 8, 2025 - 7:27 min.)
'A loyal federal MAGA employee':
The common theme is, you know, 'We voted for this!', you know, and our friends that didn't vote the same, you know, there's always that back and forth conversation. Now it's, like, 'You knew this was coming!' But we didn't, like, nobody that I've talked to understood the devastation that having this administration in office would do to our lives but other people that we love and care about, too.

Notice also that this is not unlike how some people felt after they had voted for Biden because he appeared to promise them that he was serious about ending global warming, and then, once in office, this is what he did:

Gotta agree with Dann, here. I don't want them to suffer for the sake of laughing at them. I want them to have what alchys call that Moment of Clarity, and they should damn well feel stupid and betrayed. But we should not be happy to piss on their graves like their leader is happy to do, because we are better than that.

You're right, I won't be happy to piss on his grave. I will be happy to dance, piss AND ◊◊◊◊ on his grave!

We’ve been waiting almost a decade for this Moment of Clarity. It would be great to get a timeline on when we can expect it, because I would like to know exactly how much ◊◊◊◊ the rest of us are supposed to eat from them before we’re allowed to hurt their feelings.

More leopards eating faces.

They voted for Trump in 2024. Months later, his administration fired them

Michael Graugnard said he voted for President Donald Trump in the 2024 election because he felt Trump was the best candidate to improve the economy.

But three months into his new role as an attorney advisor for the US Department of Agriculture, Graugnard was laid off along with thousands of other federal employees. The termination, Graugnard said, came as a surprise given his managers had assured him his job was safe.

“I was devastated,” Graugnard told CNN, adding this was his dream job and he had just moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, with his pregnant wife and toddler for the position. “I was expecting to spend the rest of my life doing it.”

James Diaz, a veteran recently fired from his job at the IRS, told CNN’s Laura Coates that while he stands by his vote for Trump, he disagrees with how the administration is handling the mass layoffs.

His performance reviews indicated he was meeting or exceeding expectations, Diaz said.

“I don’t think they are doing a very good job of finding out exactly what needs to be cut,” Diaz said. “I think they are just taking a chain saw to it instead of doing some critical thinking and doing some investigations to see what is good and what is bad.”

A former worker at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, who asked not to be named, said she was laid off just three weeks into her new job.

She said she hoped Trump would improve the economy by creating more job opportunities and reducing inflation, and did not expect his administration to go after probationary workers.

“If I’d known that I would never have voted for him,” she said.

“This is going to completely tarnish the presidency,” she said. “This isn’t the way that our democracy works, and I don’t understand why (Trump) thinks this is acceptable.”

Ryleigh Cooper said she voted for Trump in November because he promised to make in vitro fertilization available for free.

Cooper said doctors had told her IVF might be her only option for conceiving a child.

“Going into the voting booth, the main thing on my mind was … I want to be a mom,” Cooper told CNN’s Laura Coates.

Last month, Cooper was laid off from her job at the US Forest Service. She told Coates she now regrets supporting Trump.

GO. ◊◊◊◊. YOURSELVES.

well, you do you.

I think nothing will hurt them more than realizing that Trump betrayed them for personal profit.
Why do you imagine they will ever realize that? They had four years of trump in power and decided they were fine with giving him another four. US voters have consistently voted for the Republicans time and again even when it was plainly against their interest to do so. Attempts to pander to them by the Democrats have persistently failed so maybe a good hard metaphorical slap in the face is all that's left to do. No more sympathy, no more trying to win them round just straight up tell them 'you ◊◊◊◊◊◊ around and found out' when they come crying about how things have gone so wrong for them.

Ok. Their feelings can and should be hurt, and in spades. They should feel the full force of the consequences of their decisions, no argument. But for those that have a change of heart, and put their children's benefit above their own ◊◊◊◊◊◊ up sense of being patriots or whatever they think they were, welcome them to Team Pro-America, sez me. People can change. Sometimes they just gotta take one on the chin themselves.

No. ◊◊◊◊ them. They are unforgiven. Period!

They knew what they voted for, and most of the buyer's remose seems to be about leopards eating the wrong peoples' faces. No sympathy.

And no, there will be no 'Come to Jesus' moment for most of them. They're a literal cult.
I for one am willing to give people a chance who indicate *actual* remorse and learning. Whining and venting about inconvenient consequences is not the same thing as repentance. For now, I'll wait and see how many of the five stages these guys go through before they cycle back to denial as opposed to progressing to acceptance.

If they REALLY want to benefit themselves and their children, they should emigrate to Canada, or Mexico, or some other first world country that is not at war with two-thirds of its own citizens. Because no matter how sorry they are now, in today's America, they won't be accepted and they won't succeed at repatriation.

Better yet they get on Mush's rockets to Mars.

That's pretty much the same as staying in the USA. A couple of years of sensory deprivation, weightlessness and separation from friends and family without any chance of rescue. Accompanied by the reasonable probability of a very lonely death that nobody else will be able to prevent.

Not expecting Canada to be welcoming yanks of any flavor right about now. Nor Greenland. Nor Mexic. Nor most Central American ◊◊◊◊ hole countries, as i believe they like to refer to them as. Maybe Argentina is nice?
