Trump's Second Term

So has Vance explained where these '20,000 random troops' he was so scathing about are actually supposed to be from? I mean he's insisting now that he didn't mean Britain (though obviously he absolutely meant Britain), so where is this country that hasn't fought a war in 30-40 years? I suppose it might be Germany but I'm pretty sure everyone in Europe was thrilled Germany didn't fight a major war for a few decades.

German forces were in Afghanistan.

Kraznov is promoting his speech tonight saying that it is going to be wild. I'm afraid he's going to declare martial law, I hope I'm wrong. However, whatever big announcement he makes is going to be bad for every American that isn't a Maga/Nazi.
I hope the democrats walk out during the speech.
The last time I remember anyone describing an upcoming event that way we got January 6th. Can this end any better?

Sen. Schmitt on tariffs: "The truth of the matter of what's going on with Canada is they have been ripping us off for generations and they've gotten away with it."
Uh huh? When did this become the truth of the matter? Was it the truth of the matter when Trump proposed and later ratified the USMCA free trade agreement? Did Trump foolishly propose and then sign a ripoff deal? Have you told Trump he ◊◊◊◊◊◊ up, senator?

Trump going all Lizz Truss
Donald J. Trump
@realDonald Trump.

Please explain to Governor Trudeau, of Canada, that when he puts on a Retaliatory Tariff on the U.S., our Reciprocal Tariff will immediately increase by a like amount!

Am I the only one who is expecting an increase in terrorist attacks on the US, given the number of folk Trump is pissing off who have access to suitable hard ware and the way he and his mini-mes are treating the likes of the FBI?

Maybe terrorists have concluded that Trump is doing more damage to the US than they could ever manage.

We are on the same pickle ball team as Russia. the Late Show, Colbert
Well, can't be that bad, as long as the likes of Colbert feel like making fun of it is still appropriate.
Nothing to see here, just business as usual. Have a laugh, go to bed and then back to work.

:(

Ukrainians certainly have the skills to use a drone to kill anyone in the US, should they desire to do so.
It is a bit suicidal to abandon them.

Tik Tok is actively suppressing free speech in favor of christianity and the Trump Regime. Posts that criticize either are getting shut down. Replies are also getting shut down. Heck, my wife can't block many of the pro-christian feeds as the option no longer exists, although the block option shows up on other feeds.

No more in-person town halls, NRCC chief tells House Republicans

The chair of the House GOP's campaign arm told Republican lawmakers Tuesday to stop holding in-person town halls amid a wave of angry backlash over the cuts undertaken by President Donald Trump's administration.

Rep. Richard Hudson (R-N.C.), the NRCC chair, delivered the message inside a closed-door meeting of House Republicans, according to three people granted anonymity to describe the private remarks.

Trump on Monday dismissed the town hall uproar — much of it trained on the sweeping cutbacks made by the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency — as being the work of “paid ‘troublemakers.’” Many other GOP leaders have adopted a similar tack, asserting that the protests Republican lawmakers have encountered have been concocted by Democrats and do not reflect genuine voter anger over the Trump cuts.

"Paid troublemakers" is transparent ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊, based on a self-righteous assumption that nobody who disagrees with your policies, and says so, could possibly be sincere in either the disagreement or its expression. And if the "troublemakers" are Democrats- so what? Is your town hall meeting a public one open to all your constituents, or is it a Republicans-only convention? Abandoning them as expressions of voter sentiment might indeed be the right (if somewhat cowardly) move if you're more invested in an echo-chamber that only tells you what you want to hear instead of an open forum where you risk being told what you don't.
