It's a condition of my employment to get the flu shot every year, because I work for a healthcare provider. If the employees don't get flu shots, we get the flu...and spread it to everybody who comes into a clinic or hospital for healthcare. If there isn't an annual flu shot a lot of people are going to end up dying.

In fairness to you and the BBC, it was RFK Jr who said at the cabinet meeting that two people have died. They were presumably reporting what would be, in normal times, a reputable source, namely the Secretary for Health and Human Services. But maybe he was just bragging.

Depending on how deep the cuts will be it might cause a few hospitals and clinics to shut down entirely, or have to lay off some people. Rural areas will be the most impacted. Poor, rural folk in a red state...the leopards are going to feast on their faces, and --more sad-- the faces of their children.
