The Truth about RFK Jr

.
They may even find a way of blaming people who have been vaccinated for the outbreak - vaccination has allowed mega-measles to develop.....
Thanks for the inspiration, I'll just call US measle outbreaks MAGA-measles from now on.

When kids start dying of measles, does anyone really think the anti-vaxxers and MAGA will say, "Oh my God! What a terrible mistake we made!"?

Of course not. It will take them a few days to come up with a new narrative about how actually there is just a bad strain of meningitis going around...
And, of course, there's always the fallback "fake news!" where they'll just reject any information they don't like.

We are now learning more about the censorship of adverse reactions to the COVID vaccines and the harmful impact of that censorship. Just the News published this report a few days ago:

Hey, only 2% of the kids who get the measles are dying...

(Note: there is NOTHING in our lives where we accept a 2% chance of death, btw, outside of like, climbing Mt Everest (about 5% historically); something like "dying or killing someone by drunk driving" has only about 1/10 000 (0.01%) chance and that is illegal; life insurance companies won't cover deaths from skydiving, where the risk is about 1 in 300 000)

And we have the first death from measles in the U.S. in a decade:

Measles death of unvaccinated child in Texas outbreak is 1st fatality in US in a decade

An unvaccinated school-aged child in Texas has died of measles, the first associated with an outbreak in the western part of the state that has infected more than 100 people.

Lubbock city spokesperson Lauren Adams confirmed the death to ABC News on Wednesday.

In a press release, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) said the child was hospitalized in the northwestern city of Lubbock last week and tested positive for measles.

During Tuesday's Cabinet meeting, Health and & Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. responded to a question about the outbreak, saying the agency was following the cases in Texas.

Kennedy appeared to downplay the outbreak, noting there have been four outbreaks so far this year compared to 16 last year. However, the number of cases in Texas alone amount to nearly half of the 285 cases confirmed in 2024.

"It's not unusual; we have measles outbreaks every year," he said.

Because of you and other ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ stupid jackasses like you!

They have already burned it down. Science in the USA was already being defunded before Trump, part of the GOP's anti-woke agenda. And even if they were allowed to continue their programs, the whole field of science in the USA is being denigrated and degraded. The proponents of Project 2025 are totally anti-science - it conflicts with their religious view of the world. American Taliban means exactly what it says.

Go work in Australia, or elsewhere, continuing the work they do now. If things stabilise in the USA and come back to (more) normal(ish), bring it home again.

You do know the US pilfered the best of the Nazi scientists after WW2 and gave them a new home and space to do their jobs - Operation Paperclip. That's what needs to happen to the USA now. Leave...while you can.

ETA. We have these levels of bushfire alerts here. You guys are now at Emergency Warning.
And you don't even have all that questionable ignoring of working slaves to death like the Von Braun.

Absolute ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ disgrace.

This is what America voted for. This is what the Senators voted for, including people like Bill Cassidy who wrung his hands before waving RFK Jr through the door.

Now obviously there are people who were never going to get their kids vaccinated anyway especially among certain religious communities, but those communities tend to get shielded from their stupid religious-inspired refusal to vaccinate by the wider population doing the right thing. But they can’t depend on that any more.

Of course MAGA will make all kinds of excuses. It was probably “shedding” or it was the illegal immigrants bringing in the measles, or too many vaccines has selected for bad measles. All the usual crap and the anti-vax bandwagon will roll shamelessly on while Cassidy and others white knuckle it to the end of the Trump administration hoping that they won’t have too much blood on their hands.

And now it's two.

US measles outbreak claims two lives

A rapidly spreading outbreak of measles in Texas has killed two people, US Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy, Jr, said on Wednesday.

They are the first mortalities from measles in the US in nearly a decade.

One of those victims was an unvaccinated child who died in a Texas hospital after testing positive for measles, according to the state's health department.

Secretary Kennedy, who was speaking at the first cabinet meeting for President Donald Trump's current term, did not give any information on the other victim and the BBC was not able to confirm the death.

The Texas Department of State Health Services reported on Tuesday that it was aware of 124 cases diagnosed since the outbreak began in early January, up from 90 cases on Friday. Almost all cases - 101 - were in patients 17 and younger.

The US declared measles "eliminated" in 2000, but the country has seen outbreaks in recent years amid a rise in anti-vaccine sentiment. The last US measles death was in 2015, according to the Infectious Diseases Society of America.

The WHO website stated, "Even though a safe and cost-effective vaccine is available, in 2023, there were an estimated 107 500 measles deaths globally, mostly among unvaccinated or under vaccinated children under the age of 5 years." Maybe the US should pay attention to the WHO; oh, wait, never mind.

Bless your heart. You're thinking in days. These things take generations.
