Ed Does anyone here believe that Princess Diana's car crash was suspicious?

Hey wait. Isn't that a bit sexist? Charles picked a naive young woman of eighteen to act as a brood mare, to do his life's career of producing an heir and a spare (preferably both male), whilst she apparently was under a romantic illusion of being in love and an old fashioned wife. Charles was consorting with people like Lord Mountbatten, Reverend Ball and Sir Jimmy Savile, all characters associated with paedophilia. Charles married soppy young Diana whilst all the time he was carrying on with a married RC woman married to someone else. I mean Camilla is probably a beard IMV and Charles has to be seen to be 'respectable' can't have young darling boys to-ing and fro-ing from his chambers. So if you are going to slut shame Diana, have a go at the person who drove an emotionally unstable young lady over the top in the first place.
Was the leaking of his calls to Camilla part of his attempts to hide his sex with men - when he wanted to be her Tampax?

By the way, the fact that the Queen can halt a trial - that alone is disturbing.

You'll be supplying evidence for this "fact", won't you?

Do you mean "a" particular trial or any trial?

ETA That link doesn't even mention the Queen nor a trial, let alone her alleged ability to halt one.

Are you just throwing stuff at the wall and hoping it sticks? Or hoping that no-one reads your links?

Another thing. One of the numerous horndogs says he was under surveillance, too.

Bad things happen if you touch the future king's ex. That's all I am saying.
Did you read that before you posted it?

You realise he was talking about the notorious scandal of phone hacking by the newspapers, right? Not the security services. It was a very big story and it's rumbled on for years. The press had worked out that if people didn't change the default password on their new phone, it was possible for others to to call up their voicemail and retrieve messages. All you needed was a celebrity's phone number and no scruples.

Phone sex. Anyone can talk dirty. Tampax is hardly a turn on. Even up until recently Camilla had a home quite separate from Charles. I think she still does. They spend a lot of time apart. An arrangement that suits both.

Since when does gossip become evidence for murder? People mad at their exes usually do not have a motive for murder, because,,, they are not murderers.

Hmm. That might be true. Criminal cases are tried as the crown vs the defendant, so I suppose the crown could hypothetically drop their case if the monarch said so.

But is that anything like as disturbing as the US president not only having the hypothetical power to pardon a conviction, but actually using that power?
Not just using, but with casual acceptance by the constituents. But the Clintons will school you on what happens if you rise to the level of minor personal annoyance in their estimation.

Admittedly, I was 9 years old when this happened. Admittedly, I wasn't a particularly smart kid, either.

But even in 1997, cameras were literally everywhere! The mall certainly had them. Even back then, it was like living in Orwell's 1984. Look at how many were in Fayed's hotel. Even the kitchen clock was equipped with one.

I just can't imagine the French government NOT installing them everywhere, given that even the owners of a rural shopping mall could! And did.

I still think that while demanding proof is a good thing, some things can be deducted based on "I know that's how the world works."

I know that when you embarrass the powerful by banging the princess, bad things happen to you.

Dodi's dead. Barry Manakee is dead.
Hewitt was sent to Germany and later Iraq. James Gilbey was put under surveillance. His phone calls were leaked to the press. A total violation of his privacy.

I still think the rich and the powerful have the ability to humiliate you at the very least!

Both Prince William and Prince Harry were deployed to Afghanistan, Harry was also deployed to Australia on secondment to the ADF, what did they do.to piss Charlie off?

On the bookcase opposite me right now there is a photo of Mme Malbui and me taken at the Pont-Neuf in the summer of 1997. I’m learning so much from this thread about what Paris was like at that time. We must have been wandering around with our eyes closed.
