I think Edge did a wonderful job posting info that is greatly needed to wake some of you up to reality. God is not only real but very much alive and active in our world.

Oh and Tricky just for your info I do not think I need anyone but Jesus to defend me, although I do appreciate having another believer on board. And he's so well educated too! I thank God for you Edge, and all my other brothers and sisters in Christ!!
<sigh> While I can't say I haven't lobbed the occasional smart-aleck post at you, on the whole I think I've tried to engage you in civil discourse. Although I disagree with the majority of what you post I've tried to make logical arguments and treat you with a degree of courtesy.
But you try my patience, kathy. You really do.
What you fail to see is this: we understand that your faith makes you happy. We really do get that point. But when you repeat that point over and over and over and over. . . well hopefully you can see why some of us find it annoying.
What's worse is that the repetition is so unnecessary. Christians are not unwelcome here. Some, like RoadToad and kittynh are well liked and respected, and one reason for this is they don't ram their faith down our throats at every opportunity.
Kathy, every time I read your posts I think of Matthew 6:5-6
When thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
You come here and shout your faith in our faces, and I really think a large portion of your reason for doing so is to say "Look at me! I'm doing battle with the unbelievers! What a great Christian I am!" You're here so that you "may be seen of men."
Well Kathy, I'm going to ask you nicely. Please stop. You don't need to stop posting, but
please follow the example of RT and kittynh: you can comment on the topics at hand without jamming your faith down our throats. Don't expect us to accept your faith as proof of anything. I for one don't believe that the Bible is the word of God, so I'm not going to accept its words as authoritative on anything.
I don't know if any of this is going to do any good, but what the hey, it's my time to spend. Kathy, talk with us, argue with us, maybe even let your hair down and joke with us and you'll find things go a lot easier. Keep preaching every time you sit down at your keyboard and you're very soon going to find backs turning and Ignore buttons being hit every time you come around. It's a lonely path you're choosing.
