Road, when I said I didn't know why God allows things to happen like cancer and things to people I was merely stating I think he could be possibly using it in peoples lives to draw them closer to Himself, to show us we do need God in our lives. When you are in pain don't you want to have someone there that cares for you? I know I do. And personally I like knowing that no matter what I go through in life God has promised there is life after this one. A life in heaven where there will be no more sorrow or pain. Doesn't that matter to anyone on this board?

Your belief in the promise of heaven is a sentence to a billion others of eternal suffering. That's what matters to some of on this board.

Your comfort in the afterlife requires your unquestionable belief that billions of others will burn forever. And ultimately, their sin was simple ignorance in the complicated system of atonement/sacrifice.

That matters.

Yes, I do. If someone stabs me in the stomach, I want someone to care for me. However, the person who stabbed me obviously doesn't care so I will seek comfort elsewhere. If God gives me cancer, he obviously doesn't care about me. I will look to someone else for comfort.

I haven't said the first thing about your syntax, so exactly how you inferred that my comment related to that is unclear. But never mind.

You asked KK "Is your God so limited that He can't recognize different cultures and traditions?" What I am curious to know is what you mean when you refer to KK's God's non-recognition of different cultures and traditions. Do you mean simply being unaware of them (which would surely constitute a divine limitation, but doesn't appear to be a necessary characteristic of KK's God)? Or do you mean not accepting the validity of non-Christian religious traditions (which appears to be a characteristic of KK's God, but which does not logically imply any limitation on God)? Or is it something else that appears to you to be a limitation on KK's God?
 
I keep trying to read this crap, but I just can't find a single coherent idea to react to. My brain cannot piece out a single thought to contemplate in this morass of text. None of what he's posted is related to any of the rest of it. What is this moron talking about? Of what is he trying to convince us? Why is he here, and what does this have to do with what we were discussing? What does he think we were discussing? Does he actually know we were even discussing anything? Is he actually capable of forming thoughts and expressing them in the English language, or has his primitive brain over years of exposure somehow trained itself in some Pavlovian way to mimic the utterances of those around him? Is it possible that, with just this trick of mocking the language of those around him, this person's brain stem has somehow created an adaptation for blending into society without actually being capable of conscious thought? Clearly he's capable of turning on a computer and using it in some fashion. How did he obtain this computer and the power to run it and an internet connection when he clearly has the language skills of a parrot? Could someone who wrote these posts actually communicate well enough to pay a power bill or subscribe to an ISP? Did someone navigate these obstacles for him? If so, could this organism we call "edge" actually be considered human, or is he some kind of parasite species with a host human that performs the societal functions based on the parrot noises edge makes?

His posts leave me so full of questions, and I haven't even gotten to their contents yet.

Apparantly, edge is one of those folks who believe that angels came down from heaven and had sex with the "daughters of men", and created a hybrid race of humans who were destroying the world. So, god destroyed them but let Noah and his family survive because they were the only true, pure humans left on the planet. There is no proof of this whatsoever! Not even in the Bible. But that doesn't matter.

People like him made me leave the Church. I know him like he's my brother. I say this without any regret, "The man is mad!" He is proof that christians and muslims have much more in common than previously supposed.

I think Edge did a wonderful job posting info that is greatly needed to wake some of you up to reality. God is not only real but very much alive and active in our world.

Oh and Tricky just for your info I do not think I need anyone but Jesus to defend me, although I do appreciate having another believer on board. And he's so well educated too! I thank God for you Edge, and all my other brothers and sisters in Christ!!
